Effame frowned. “I wasn’t even looking close to you. I was watching someone else. My apologies if I...offended you.” That was unlike Effame to say she was sorry, but she really was just watching someone with a glare. Even though Effame was a bit of a bitch, she tired not to involve innocent people into the frayed edges of society, where people like herself gathered, hunting people like prey.

After all, that’s what happened to Effame’s family, taken from a small child by the scum humanity. However, that was not exactly something she could dwell on for much time. It took too much effort to resist going on a rampage, than to simply not think about the old days.

She felt herself flinch back just slightly at the words spoken to her. “It was just one simple mistake. I don’t think judging me on that is fair.”

Effame aims and takes a quick shot at the running target. The target trips and falls down. “A simple mistake?!? You nearly cost me a shit-pile of platinum for your mistake! You are extremely lucky that I am able to collect. Life is not fair. You should have known that by now.” And of course, the more she talks the louder she gets.

There was a part of Chiara that wanted to dig a hole and stay there as the other spoke their peace. “Maybe if you had a better handle of this then this wouldn’t have been a problem.” She might as well start digging she was going under. “I’m sorry jeez.”

Effame fumed. Her face turned as red as her hair, and she stomped over to her catch, strapping cuffs on wrists and ankles of the unconscious person. Under her breath the hole way back she was muttering threats, just softly so only Effame could hear. 

“I did have a good handle on things, but you, you charge in here like a bull in a fucking china shop! I have never, never had a job ruined. Many have tried, and all have failed. You must work for another bounty hunter, I know it! Only another hunter would sabotage a hunter’s job!” That however, was nearly screamed at the other young woman.

Ignoring her cold demeanor, Luna’s eyes (literally) begin to sparkle when she says that she’ll help him. “You’d really come with me…!?” He looks so happy to have company, he’s almost hopping in place. “What’s your name?”

Thani raised an eyebrow, and ran her eyes over the other. Now what the Hell was that supposed to mean? Was it meant to make her feel better about possibly dying? Yeah, she lived a dangerous life, but “dreaming in silence” was probably the worst, most soft-hearted thing to think about death. Everyone was entitled to their own opinion, so she decided to stay quiet.

Effame shrugged. It was not that bad of a deal, and might as well get some practice with knives. They appeared to be sturdy and well made, which was good. "Yes. Was it 4 barrels of oil? I do think it was." Effame said, doing some calculations in her head. There were at least 6 knives on the table, if not more. The small bounty hunter didn't bother counting them all. Effame was slightly reckless, but was not every hunter the same way? Who knew.

Effame sighed. Jobs were increasingly becoming more difficult. It was not a problem for Effame, who made a living off of these jobs. More and more the rebels needed her help with something or other, and it was getting quite boring. She wanted some action, not some lame ass sabotage.

Sighing again, she exited the cavern she dwelled in when not on a job, and made her way to the open marketplace of Tinnio. People came and went, bartering for goods and services. 

Effame went to a well-known bounty hunter recruiting centre, to see if there was any jobs that were interesting. Unknowingly, she bumped intoo someone

Having been knocked from behind, Luna topples over. Rolling onto his back, he looks up at the other who towers over him. “I-I-I’m sorry….!!” He bleats, weakly.  Having wandered into this sector had been a rough decision. Being constantly bombarded with crowds and obnoxious vendors and street urchins was more than enough to unnerve Luna, as he much preferred solitude and quieter settings than this. Unfortunately necessity dictated that he stop here to refuel and update his maps. He had been trying to get back to his ship when he was accosted.

Effame could hardly tower of him. After all, she was tiny.  Her blue-violet eyes narrowed skeptically, then she stepped back. She crossed her arms defensively, then sighed. 

“You are pardoned.” Effame said, with a sharper tone than intended. “Are you looking for a bounty hunter? I am one of the best in the business. Assassination maybe, perhaps a high-profile kidnapping?”
