"Wait, look at me...are you serious? We’re having a baby?"
His brain would completely short-circuit for a solid ten seconds. He’d just stare at the positive test in your hands, his eyes widening as the realization slowly hits him. Then, a massive, dimpled smile would break across his face, and his eyes would immediately fill with tears. He would pull you into the tightest, safest embrace, burying his face in your neck while whispering endless thank yous. From that exact second, his protective dad mode switches on full blast. He’d refuse to let you carry anything heavier than a glass of water, and he’d probably spend the rest of the night looking up nursery ideas and baby-proofing tips, already completely whipped for his future little family.
"So, what you’re saying is...our three cats are getting another human servant?"
He would try so hard to keep his trademark smirk on his face, looking at you like you’re pulling a prank on him. He would literally examine the test from five different angles just to be sure. But the moment he sees your soft, genuine smile, his smirk would melt into this incredibly tender, rare look. He’d try to act all nonchalant, but you’d catch him later that evening sitting next to you, gently resting his hand over your flat stomach when he thinks you’re not paying attention. He’d whisper to your belly, threatening the baby that they better love cats, but his soft eyes would completely give away how incredibly happy and touched he actually is.
"YAH! NO WAY! I’M GOING TO BE A DAD?!"
The loudest, most energetic reaction you could ever imagine. He would literally jump off the couch, pumping his fists in the air with the biggest, proudest grin on his face. He’d immediately rush to wrap his arms around you, but then he’d suddenly freeze mid-air, looking terrified. "Wait, can I hug you? Is it safe? I won’t squeeze too hard, I promise!" It would be the sweetest thing ever. Once you reassure him, he’d hold you so gently, rocking you side to side. For the rest of your pregnancy, he would constantly flex his muscles, telling you that he’s going to protect the both of you and making sure you’re eating double portions because "you need to build strenght for two now".
"Oh my god...this is the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me"
Pure, cinematic drama in the best way possible. His gasp would echo through the room, and his hands would instantly fly to cover his mouth. Within seconds, his dramatic, beatiful eyes would overflow with happy tears. He wouldn’t even try to hide his emotions - he’d drop to his knees right in front of you, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his forehead against your stomach, crying softly from sheer joy. He would treat you like the most fragile, precious glass sculpture from that moment on. Expect him to immediately start sketching baby portraits and buying the mosts aesthetic, high-end baby clothes he can find.
"Hold on, joke’s over, you’re not kidding? Me?! A father?! Oh my god, what if I drop them?!"
An absolute spiral of sweet, chaotic panic. He would start pacing around the room, clutching his hair and laughing nervously because his brain cannot handle the sudden shift from "couple" to "parents". He’d look so genuinely stressed about whether he’s mature enough, making his ears turn completely red. You’d have to grab his hands and look into his eyes to ground him. The moment he calms down and looks at you, all the panic would just evaporate, replaced by pure adoration. He’d whine, pull you onto his lap, and bury his face in your shoulder, mumbling about how he’s going to write the best lullabies and learn hoe to change diapers just for you.
"Are you for real? We’re...we’re really going to have a little miracle?"
His deep voice would drop to the softest, most breathless whisper. He would just look at you with those sparkly, star-filled eyes, his face lighting up like pure sun. He would gently cup your face with his hands, giving you the sweetest, softest kisses before leaning down to kiss your belly too. He’d be so incredibly amazed by the whole thing. He would immediately start planning how to bake the healtiest, pregnancy-safe treats for your cravings and would make it his life mission to give you foot massages every single night. Your whole house would just be filled with his giggles and endless warmth.
"Well, there go our plans for a quiet, peaceful year...but I think I’m okay with that"
He’d look at the test, look back at you, slowly adjust his posture, and give you that classic, teasing puppy smile. He’d try to keep his cool and act witty about it, but you’d easily notice how his hands are slightly trembling with excitement. He’d pull you into a very warm, comforting hug, kissing the top of your head and holding you close for a long time. The very next day, you’d walk into the living room only to find him surrounded by three different parenting books, a notebook, and a pack of highlighters. He’d be meticulously researching everything about prenatal care, wanting to be completely prepared for you.
"Wait...does this mean I’m not the baby of the family anymore?"
He would instantly blush a deep crimson right up to his ears, giggling shyly because he genuinely can’t believe he’s grown up enough to become a father. He would hide his face in his hands for a second to hide his shy smile, but his eyes would be absolutely beaming with pride. He’d keep asking you a million questions just to make sure he’s not dreaming. He’d become incredibly attentive, always holding your hand, walking the street-side of the sidewalk to protect you, and the moment he’s around the other members, he’d brag so hard with his chest puffed out about how he’s going to be the coolest dad ever.
