When y/n transfers to the prestigious Saint Augustine’s boarding school, she expects scripture and solitude, not Hwang Hyunjin. He’s the headmaster’s son, refined, beautiful, and cruel. A choirboy, who looks at her like he’s already damned. They clash. They burn. He calls her ‘little lamb’ and warns her to stay away but he follows her like a shadow and watches her like a prayer. When the chapel doors close, his hands feel anything but holy. Saint Augustine’s is a place of secrets with locked doors, murmured rituals and things that don’t sleep beneath the floorboards. Hyunjin says she’s temptation incarnate. He says she’s leading him to ruin but the deeper they fall, the clearer it becomes that all hell is about to break loose.

Reinforces his obedience code. Keeps him a secret but he’s not as blank as he should be and he flirts constantly. She rolls her eyes, tells him to shut up but he learns her faster than any man ever has and underneath the teasing is something deeper. Something dangerous, a need to love.

You can’t wrap your head around why on Earth Felix insists on you coming to Hyunjin’s lunch date, considering he knows how much you can’t stand the man. Unfortunately, your friend has some incredible persistence, and you find that you would rather deal with the consequences of giving in later than continue with his constant begging.
“So you’ll come?” You can practically hear his smile through the phone.
With a reluctant sigh, you agree. “Only if you promise not to talk about it anymore. If I hear you mention it one more time today, I will stay home.”
“Deal.”
It's weird, feeling like you would rather do anything than hang out with Hyunjin. Yet, here you are, hoping something comes up so he calls off the lunch. To think there was a time when it was harder to find you and Hyunjin not hanging out together. How times change.
“Alright, now lose the beanie!” You hear someone call out to your right. Speak of the…
There he is, posing in false nonchalance against one of the school’s murals. His friend from the library, Yeonjun, is on the ground with his phone out. Photoshoot? Seriously? How much more pretentious can he get?
Despite thinking they look ridiculous, acting like celebrities in the middle of campus, you can’t help but be a bit interested as well.
Hyunjin places both his hands on his head, seemingly hesitant as he looks to his friend for confirmation. When Yeonjun nods, Hyunjin takes a deep breath and a few glances around himself before his eyes catch on you, and he seems to stutter physically before he returns to his more confident self, pulling the garment off and revealing his new hair.
Red and blue-toned black tuffs stand up in almost organized chaos, his mullet grown out into a perfectly tousled length, and even you can’t deny how incredibly good it looks. The colors fit his skin like he was made for them, so much so that your breath catches for a second. Others seem to notice as well, a few dramatic ‘oohs’ and ‘aws’ emanating from bystanders in the vicinity, and the novelty of Hyunjin’s hot new style is now lost upon you. Mostly, at least.
You just couldn’t get behind this train of celebrity treatment for Hyunjin since he got back. Yes, he was fine beyond comprehension, but seriously? It seemed like everyone was tripping over their own feet for the guy. The way necks break for him was so overdone at this point. Sheep.
Still, you look on, hoping to see another crack in Hyunjin’s appearance—like maybe he also knew how ridiculous this whole thing was. However, as he continues to strike directed poses from his cameraman, the light in your chest fizzles, and you once again accept that this is just who Hyunjin is now. A popular guy who treats the world like his personal red carpet.
Your eyes linger for a moment longer before you peel them off his frame, shaking your head as you leave the scene. Once you’re far enough away to relax, you let out a groan of frustration.
Fuck he looks good.
You loathe him.
——
“So you’re [Y/N],” Yeonjun draws out, adding discomforting emphasis, eyeing you in a way that makes you wonder what the hell Hyunjin has told him.
You raise an eyebrow at him, scooting into the booth beside Felix. “Uh, yeah? Why’d you say it like that?”
He waves you off, “No reason. I’ve just heard a lot about you.”
“I bet it was all wonderful,” you say with an overly sarcastic tone, shooting Hyunjin a glare. He throws a wink your way in response.
Another boy, Beomgyu, stands in his seat with a finger raised, “Actually—ow!”
“Oh shut up,” Yeonjun glares at him, wiping the hand that he’d used to pull Beomgyu back to his seated position on his jeans. “Ignore him. Hyunjin said a lot of good things about all of you.”
You nod slowly, not really believing him and wishing Beomgyu had gotten a chance to say what he wanted, “... right.”
“He has, seriously,” Beomgyu adds, putting defensive hands up to Yeonjun.
You give them all quizical looks before Hyunjin speaks up, one brow raised. “What? Did you think I was going to act like you don’t exist? I would never do that.”
Oh, you think to yourself, so that’s where he’s going with this.
Before you can really give Hyunjin a piece of your mind, Felix clears his throat, while Chan decides to move to a more comfortable conversation. “So, how’s everyone’s semester going?”
Hyunjin’s cousin Yeji speaks up first from her spot in the corner of the booth seat across from Felix, gushing about a new clothing store that had opened up near her apartment complex. “It’s really incredible in there, you should really check it out with me [Y/N]!”
You give her a small nod, thinking her proposition doesn’t sound too bad. Really, the only drawback is that she’s related to Hyunjin, who seems to just keep popping up wherever you are. You could only imagine if they were anything alike, how horrible it would be to be stuck with two of him.
“I’m really excited for the camping trip, personally,” Felix chimes in next, sipping his milk tea blissfully. “The cabins supposedly got fixed up a bit since last year, and they’re said to have a new dining area next to the lake, too.”
“Have you guys gone every year?” Yeonjun tilts his head at you guys, seemingly confused at Felix’s statements. Your side of the table nods, Chan motioning to Hyunjin as he explains that it was almost tradition for you guys to all go.
Beomgyu and Yeji perk up a bit at how you guys talk about the trip, intrigued. “Is it actually cool, or are you guys just talking it up?”
“No, we’re being completely honest—I mean, yeah, it's camping,” you shrug with your words dismissively, “but it's so beautiful and it's a great way to unwind after exams end.”
They seem to hum in unison, Yeji and Beomgyu looking far more interested in the trip than you would have expected of Hyunjin’s newer friend group. Yeji taps her chin, “Maybe I’ll sign up before it's too late.”
Hyunjin goes next, running a hand through his hair in a way that almost looks calculated, “I’ve been pretty busy lately. You know, with all the games going on recently, and all the presentations they’ve been having us do in Lit and especially Art History. Oh, not to mention making this fire feed Yeonjun’s been helping me out with,” he grins, pulling out his phone and tapping away until it shows his most recent post.
It's the photos from yesterday. You almost want to praise Yeonjun for how professional they look, except that you can’t stand what he’s helping Hyunjin turn into.
Previously, he’d been a bit too shy to have a public account on any platform, only sharing it with his friends and mostly posting pictures of his paintings that he was the most proud of. Now? You couldn’t even see a single trace of the Da Vinci oils you had bought him two years ago—just his eccentric style and pretty face on display as he swiped through them.
“I look good as hell, right?” He grins, looking to the four of you across from him for approval. Everyone except you gives him quick hums of agreement, Felix hitting him with a quick ‘yeah man’ and a thumbs up, before the table falls awkwardly silent. “Talk about a tough crowd.”
You scoff, “Well, it’s a little hard to act excited about your feed when we basically see it in person every other day.”
He throws you a slightly pained, but more offended look, “Wow, that was mean.” His tone is a bit sheepish, and the dry laugh he lets out gives you a quick sense of satisfaction.
“I’m just being honest,” you retort, scooting your glass of water closer to you. You sip it, shrugging at him.
Crossing his arms, he grumbles out a low, “You didn’t use to be this rude.”
That gets on your nerves.
Maybe he meant when you used to be completely obsessed with him, or when you used to treat him like he alone made the sun rise every day, but he had ruined that for himself.
You sit up, mirroring his pose, and look at him in a sort of angered confusion. “Actually, Hyunjin, I haven’t changed.” You can’t say the same about others, though…
“Yeah,” he snickers to himself at your clear annoyance, “keep telling yourself that.”
Felix nudges you slightly, his eyes telling you to let it go for the sake of lunch, and you think to yourself about how you’re going to torture him for making you sit through this miniature hell.

Eternal Hunt Chapter Fourteen: Burn What You Can’t Bury
The precinct was quiet.
Outside, thunder rolled low across the city, echoing through steel and sky like the slow inhale before something catastrophic.
Y/N lay curled on a makeshift cot in the old records room, bandaged but restless. Someone had left a soft blanket draped across her legs. The scent clinging to it was faint—sea salt and eucalyptus.
Felix.
Her eyes fluttered open to the pale glow of dawn. Her body ached in strange places—bruises blooming beneath her ribs, an explosion wound tugging along her side—but it wasn’t the pain that woke her.
It was the weight.
Of memories. Of secrets. Of him.
Of Chan.
She sat up, the blanket slipping to the floor.
Down the hall, voices murmured through the walls. She didn’t need vampire senses to know whose they were.
————
Hyunjin leaned over the table, the scent of old ink and dust heavy in the air. He flipped through brittle pages and yellowed documents while Jeongin crouched by a cabinet drawer he’d cracked open with a crowbar an hour ago.
“I was re-cataloging that stack from the old archives,” Jeongin said, dragging out a flat, unmarked folder, “and I found this at the bottom—taped shut with a note in Latin. Pretty sure it was Vatican property at some point.”
Hyunjin looked up.
Jeongin opened it slowly and slid the contents forward—a thin envelope marked 1943 – European Activity. Inside was a grainy black-and-white photo, folded and brittle with age.
Hyunjin’s brow furrowed as he smoothed it out.
A war-torn city street. France, maybe. Or Berlin. Civilians ran for cover, soldiers ushering people into underground shelters. Smoke and ash blurred the edges of the image.
But in the far corner—almost lost in the blur—a woman stood still.
Too still.
She wasn’t running. She wasn’t afraid.
She was watching.
Eyes calm. Face ageless. Familiar.
Hyunjin’s stomach sank.
“That’s her,” Jeongin whispered. “Isn’t it?”
He didn’t answer. He couldn’t.
Because he knew—this wasn’t just an old photo.
It was evidence. That she had been there. That her story didn’t begin in New York. Or even in 1890.
It stretched across continents. Across wars.
And maybe it still wasn’t finished.
———-
Changbin was already awake, arms crossed as he stood near the board filled with Dominic’s movements. He didn’t look up when Y/N entered the room.
“You should be lying down.”
She ignored him. “You found the old archives?”
He nodded toward the stairwell. “Me and Jeongin yesterday. You were too busy trying to bleed out on our floor.”
There was no warmth in his tone. But there was no venom either. Just tiredness. And something else. Worry, maybe. Resentment.
Or both.
She stood beside him in silence, reading the new markings on the map. Dominic’s men were moving again.
“Why are you helping?” he asked, suddenly.
She blinked. “What?”
“You say you want Dominic dead. But every move you make is calculated to keep us just close enough, never too far ahead. So what’s your endgame?”
He turned to look at her. “What aren’t you telling us?”
Y/N didn’t answer. She didn’t have to. The pain in her eyes gave him all the confirmation he needed.
He grunted and stepped away. “I don’t trust you.”
“Then we’re even,” she whispered.
————
Hyunjin stood beside the long table, the photo still in his hand when she walked in.
He held her gaze. “You were there. World War II. And not just once.”
“I’ve been in a lot of wars.”
Hyunjin swallowed. “That blade… the Vermilion Oath. Some of the records say it was forged from the first vampire’s blood. Others say it was forged to end her. The girl who was turned—but kept her soul.”
Y/N didn’t flinch, but her eyes darkened. “Some stories are better left buried.”
“I don’t think this one wants to stay buried.”
There was a long pause. Then:
“Are you her?” he asked.
“The girl the blade was meant to kill?”
She didn’t answer.
She didn’t need to.
———-
Rain ticked softly against the windows as Felix entered, two mugs of tea in hand. Y/N sat cross-legged on the floor, eyes distant as she stared at a pencil sketch of the Vermilion Oath on the table.
He said nothing. Just sat beside her and handed her a mug.
She took it without a word.
For a while, they just sipped in silence, the quiet between them more comforting than any conversation.
Then, as if without thinking, Y/N leaned her head against his shoulder.
Felix froze—but only for a second.
Then he gently rested his cheek against the top of her hair.
“You don’t have to speak,” he whispered.
“I’ll sit with your silence too.”
Outside, the storm began to fade.
But inside, the weight of what was coming only grew heavier.
「마틴」 💭.ᐣ.ᐟ martin x f!reader 彡 fluff. established relationship. 0.8k . . . . . — ꩜ .ᐟ 💬 requested!! i combined two requests together ! + not proofread >< . . . . SYN. for you martin gives you the princess treatment, but for him it’s only the bare minimum that every man should do. and that’s why he gives you a promise ring, a vow that he’ll be forever yours.
you felt like you didn’t have to ask for anything in life, because martin was already giving you everything. not the kind of loud, showy gestures that faded quickly, but the steady kind that made your beat goes faster without warning.
the way martin always made sure you walked on the inside of the sidewalk, so you wouldn’t be near the road. how he somehow remembered your “time of the month” better than you did, bringing a water bottle or snack when he noticed the signs.
the way martin carried your bag, even when you told him not to. how he ordered food with extra sides because he kept notes on what you loved. how he held your drink whenever you were glued to your phone, and slipped little flowers or handwritten notes into your pocket for no reason at all.
you never asked him for any of it. martin just found ways to do them, not because he needed to, but because he wanted to.
sometimes you’d protest, “you know you don’t have to do that for me.” but martin would just tilt his head, smiling, and pinch your cheek lightly. “it’s nothing.”
for martin, these were the bare minimum. the simplest ways to show care, things a man should naturally do if he was serious. but to you, it was everything—it was the feeling of being treated like you were rare, precious, like the last jewel in the world.
that afternoon, the two of you were at the park, picnic blanket spread out on the grass, and you wore matching outfits. martin was organizing with the setup, making sure everything was neatly arranged because he knew you loved capturing photos.
you were with your digital camera, clicking away, sunlight reflecting your face. martin’s gaze lingered on you as if the whole park had vanished. when the wind blew, scattering strands of your hair, he reached out and tucked one behind your ear.
“martin, look, isn’t this pretty?” you showed him the photos excitedly. he glanced at the camera, then at you. his lips curved faintly. “yeah, it’s pretty.”
you caught the way his eyes lingered on your face instead of the screen. you teased, “i meant the pictures, right?”
martin chuckled and replied. “the pictures and the one in front of me.”
you nudged his shoulder, shaking your head at him, cheeks warming. “okay, smooth talker. let’s eat these pastries before i take more pictures of them than actually eat them.”
you both started to eat, and as always, martin made sure your plate was full. sliding little portions toward you, offering bites of his, and watching to see if you were enjoying it.
halfway through, you suddenly stopped eating. “wait, let’s take a picture first!” you said, grabbing your digicam again.
martin shuffled closer, leaning in until your cheeks pressed together. the shutter clicked. you both then tried doing goofy faces or silly poses. you scrolled through the shots, laughing to one of the pictures.
“martin, look—” but your words faded. because when you glanced up, martin wasn’t looking at the screen anymore. he was holding a small box in his hand.
you blinked, stunned. “martin…?”
he gave you a shy smile, the kind that reminded you of the very first time he confessed like he was still nervous even after everything. “don’t think of this as some big dramatic thing,” he said, laughing quietly. “and please don’t laugh at me.”
martin opened the box. inside was a ring, the exact design you’d once rambled to him for the last two weeks, not even realizing he had been listening so closely.
“i know we’re still young, and maybe it’s early to talk about forever like that,” martin continued, his voice steady despite his heart was beating too fast. “but… i wanted to give you this first.”
martin placed the box down carefully and pulled the ring, his fingers brushing yours as he held your hand. his eyes never left yours. “it’s a promise that i’m not going anywhere, that i’ll be here for you. always.”
your heart ached as you watched him slip the ring onto your finger. his thumb lingered against your skin, gentle, before martin lifted your hand and pressed a soft kiss against it, still looking at you as if you would disappear anytime.
“you deserve so much more than just this,” martin murmured, voice dropping lower. “but let this be the start. i’ll keep proving to you that you deserve everything.”
you immediately leaned in and wrapped your arms around him, a smile tugging at your lips. “martin… thank you. i feel like i already have more than enough, just having you.”
martin’s laugh was muffled against your hair. his arms wrapped around you tightly, holding you like you were the most important thing in the world. “good,” he whispered, his chin resting lightly on your shoulder. “and i’ll just keep giving you more reasons to feel that way.”
for martin, love was in the way he stayed, the way he showed up, the way every small act was done with you in mind. and for you, that was more than enough. it was your everything.

It was well past midnight when Martin was woken up to the sound of his phone ringing.
"Martin, emergency meeting at the HQ, keep it confidential."
That was what they told him. Without even brushing his wild bed hair, he slipped out of the dormitories, careful not to wake the other members. He walked to the HYBE building a few blocks away, wondering why the hell would they call for a meeting at 1:34 AM in the morning.
He arrives at the conference room in less than ten minutes, seeing a row of the executives already sat and seemingly waiting for him. "I'm sorry for being late," he bent down politely, his voice rough from sleep. "It's okay, sit down," Manager Seo pat the empty chair beside her, and Martin obliged without much complaints. The lead executive started the meeting, then they all just chimed in with their own insights.
Martin was lost, just quietly listening to them talking about something. They all mentioned something about giving the fans what they wanted, about taking the opportunity for easy publicity....and about a leaked video?
He wasn't catching on. There was still a missing piece in the puzzle, and he wasn't quite sure what it was.
Until...
"Was it really [Name] though? It could've been Sohei for all we know, those two always looked alike after all..." one of the executives piped up, ultimately catching Martin's distant attention.
This whole meeting was about you?
Why?
Martin listened in stunned silence as they began explaining the plan. You might be coming back to the label. You might be debuting as CORTIS's sixth member. "But, until he agrees," the lead executive spoke up, "this is strictly confidential and stays between us. We can't risk rumors that'll destabilize the group," the older man shot a look at Martin, "understood, lad?" The young boy nodded, muttering out a quiet 'yes'.
His mind raced at the thought of you coming back. He has never been this excited since he found out he was in the final lineup of CORTIS. He was already picturing the practice room, filled with not only five people, but now six. He's imagining the choreo they've perfected for five, wondering how they'll fit you in the dance, and not to mention, the songs too. But all of his worries go away when he's suddenly hit with the nostalgic feeling of you dancing beside him like before—in complete, total sync.
He's grinning like a fool on his way back to the dorms, daydreaming about everything that will unfold if you did decide to join CORTIS.
—
In the back seat of the company van, you sat with your small backpack on your feet and your phone buzzing quietly with notifications from Twitter.
Manager Seo was in the front with the driver, and a staff member was on your right. "So, [Name]," Manager Seo turned around to face you, causing you to straighten your posture out of respect for her, "we're gonna be working with a one month time-frame, okay?"
You nodded.
"One month to bring you up to speed with CORTIS's setlist, choreography, recording sessions and all the promotional content. It's gonna be brutal," your pulse quickened, all of that within one month? It seemed almost impossible.
"But don't worry, I'll handle your schedule. My job is to make sure you can survive this, we'll start train smart and we'll make it work," she then proceeded to sit back, bringing out her tablet to draft a calendar for your activities. "Have you informed your mom about all of this?" She asked, "oh, I'll tell her when I get home..." you see Seo nod in the corner of your eye.
Outside the tinted window, the city lights blurred past like streaks of silver rain. The weight of your dream began settling in again, just like how it did three years ago when you started as a trainee. It's clearly heavier this time, but it's real.
Two hours later, the van pulled up to the laundromat, where you'd been renting a tiny room with your mom. Manager Seo followed you upstairs, she watched from the door as you quietly conversed with your mom—who was still surprisingly up despite the late hour.
The talk went on for a few minutes, and at that point, Seo began thinking about helping you convince your mom. But then all of a sudden, she sees her hug you tightly, and then everything just fell into place from there on. You packed whatever stuff you had, clothes, personal belongings, your toothbrush, phone charger, headphones—all your necessities fit in one, large duffel bag.
"I'll see you again ma, it's not like im disappearing forever..." you press a small kiss on your mother's head, "I'm only two hours away from you, I'll send you money for rent and buy you some stuff, 'kay?" It was hard leaving your mom alone, especially since she was a little on the older side.
"Maam, if it'll ease your mind..." Manager Seo stepped in, a polite smile on her face, "we'll have somebody pick you up tomorrow so you can live in Seoul near your son's dormitory. I can arrange an apartment for you there, and then [Name] can visit you anytime he wants without too much trouble."
You sighed in relief at Seo's suggestion, wondering if that was what she originally planned for since she came with you upstairs. "Hear that, ma? Go pack your stuff tomorrow, then I'll see you there, yeah?"
By the time your mom had finally settled to let you go, it was already 11 in the evening. The room felt smaller as you closed the door behind you, you waved your mom one last goodbye before heading back to the van, ready to pick up where you left from and finally make your dream come true. The ride to Seoul was quieter than earlier.
Seo had finished her draft while you were packing up in your room earlier, and now she handed the tablet for the other staff member to revise and check for missing details. She then answered a few calls in a hushed tone while you stared out the highway, your heart pounding relentlessly with a mix of dread, excitement and adrenaline.
She hung up the last phone call and glanced at you through the mirror, "I've informed Martin about this, he's gonna be keeping the others for a late-night rehearsal, so they'll all be there when we arrive."
You swallowed hard.
Martin and the others...
What would they think about this? About the whole situation? You can't help but imagine the priceless looks on their face–it got your heart pounding faster than it was earlier.
Silence then proceeded to hang in the air, leaving you with your loud thoughts that threatened to consume you whole.

★seonghyeon version
it was a pretty cold night, already past nine, but instead of worrying about the weather, you were in your boyfriends' room sprawled across his bed, laptop in front of you as you played some random horror game on roblox. Martin sat right beside you with his own laptop, tho he was way more entertained watching you scream than focusing on his game.
“AHHHH!” you yelped, nearly throwing your laptop when a jump scare popped up.
Martin instantly doubled over laughing, clutching his stomach. “oh my god—your face—” he wheezed.
“OMG, WAIT IT’S CHASING ME!” you shouted, furiously smashing your keyboard.
Martin was crying from laughing so hard “Babe—just—just hide in the closet!”
“nahhh i’m done, i’m literally gonna have nightmares.” You slammed the laptop shut dramatically, pouting. Martin shut his own laptop too, still chuckling.
“you’re so dramatic,” he teased, wiping nonexistent tears from his eyes. “want to watch something instead?”
you thought for a moment, then your eyes lit up. “omg, let’s watch 'It!, i’ve been wanting to but i’m too scared to watch it alone.”
Martin smirked. “u were just terrified of roblox game—but sure, let’s watch It.”
he set up the movie and pulled you into his side, throwing a blanket over both of you. the two of you cuddled up, sharing little side comments during the movie, Martin making dumb jokes about pennywise, and you hitting him every time he made you laugh right before a scary scene.
by the time the credits rolled, you were basically half asleep against his shoulder.
“babe, wanna watch the second movie?” he asked softly.
You groaned, eyes closed. “i love you, but i also love sleeping… so no.”
Martin laughed, nudging you gently. “fine, grandma.”
you opened one eye and glared at him. “wow. disrespecting your girlfriend on movie night. that’s crazy. Now i gotta go home”
he shook his head, still smiling. “it’s super late and freezing outside. i’m not letting you go home right now. just stay over.”
You blinked at him. “are you sure?”
“of course,” he said immediately.
“okay, but like… i need to shower and i don’t have any clothes here.”
“Wear mine.”
You raised a brow at your 6'2 boyfriend. “yeah babe, you're a foot taller than me, swimming in your giant sweatpants is exactly the look I'm going for.”
He grinned. “you’ll look cute. like a little burrito.”
you rolled your eyes, laughing despite yourself. “you’re actually impossible.”
“yet you love me,” he said proudly, handing you the smallest sweatpants he owned, a random t-shirt, and boxers.
you took them and a towel, heading into the bathroom. rhe hot shower was perfect against the cold night, and when you came out wearing his clothes, Martin wolf-whistled dramatically.
“okay, first of all, rude. second of all, i look like i’m drowning in fabric,” you said, tugging at the oversized shirt.
“nahh, you look adorable. that’s my girlfriend right there—serving marshmallow core.”
you burst out laughing, shoving him lightly. “stop naming fake aesthetics.”
while Martin showered, you distracted yourself with his skincare, using way too much just to mess with him. When he came back, you pointed at his nearly empty moisturizer.
“babe, who used half my bottle?” he asked suspiciously.
you batted your eyes innocently. “delf-care is important, baby.”
he groaned, shaking his head but clearly trying not to laugh.
Finally, the two of you climbed into bed, tangled up under the blanket. He wrapped his arms around you tightly, resting his chin on your head.
“Good night, marshmallow,” he teased.
“good night, clown,” you shot back, smirking into his hoodie sleeve.
he gasped. “excuse you, I’m very handsome.”
“yeah, yeah. keep telling yourself that.”
Martin pretended to sulk, but you could feel him smiling against your hair as you both drifted off—warm, comfortable
the morning sun slipped through the curtains, and you slowly woke up to the feeling of something heavy draped over you. opening your eyes, you realized Martin had somehow starfished across the entire bed, one arm thrown over your stomach like a seatbelt, and his leg tangled with yours.
Yyu wriggled a little. “babe… I can’t breathe.”
Martin groaned into your shoulder. “hhhh… this is how I hibernate.”
you laughed, trying to push him off, but he just tightened his hold. “nope. you’re stuck with me forever.”
“babeee I literally have to pee,” you whined.
his eyes cracked open just a little. “…fine. but hurry back. bed without you is… illegal.”
you rolled your eyes but couldn’t help smiling as you got up. when you came back from the bathroom, Martin was still sprawled across the bed like a giant toddler.
“babe, you actually take up all the space. this is a crime,” you teased, climbing back onto the bed.
He grinned sleepily. “that’s why you’re here, to keep me in check.”
after some more lazy cuddles, your stomach growled loudly. uour boyfriend immediately perked up.
“breakfast time!” he announced, jumping up dramatically. he was still half asleep, hair sticking in every direction, but he marched to the kitchen like he was on a mission.
you followed behind, giggling. “martin, you can barely boil water. what are you planning?”
“Chef Martin is in the house,” he said proudly, pulling out eggs, bread, and a pan.
you watched in horror as he cracked an egg directly into the pan without turning on the stove.
“…baby,” you said slowly. “It’s… it’s not even hot.”
he looked down. “Oh.” he flicked on the stove, acting like it was totally on purpose. “i was just testing your observational skills.”
You burst out laughing. “yeah, sure, Professor.”
despite the chaos, breakfast turned out edible, mostly thanks to you stepping in before he burned the toast. the two of you sat at the table, eating lopsided scrambled eggs and laughing over the disaster.
at one point martin leaned across the table and booped your nose with his finger. “see? dirst sleepover success. horror games, check, movies check, cuddles, check, and now my signature eggs.”
you smirked. “signature disaster, you mean"
He pouted dramatically, then broke into a grin. “fine. But admit it… you’re glad you stayed.”
you met his eyes, softening. “yeah im really glad.”
and just like that, between the laughter, teasing, and messy eggs, your first sleepover became a memory that felt perfectly, wonderfully yours.
