I draw whatever I like. But mostly furries, humans, some robots and other critters. I make both original art and fanart. Fanart usually contains anthro characters from various games. This is just my personal hobby blog.

About me
• I'm an adult. You can call me Vanja [vahn-yah]
• I LOVE sci-fi
• My goal is to better my animation skills, and do animation as a job one day.
1. This was said by a family member after I gave in to them nagging me. They were asking about my intimate habits while we were in the car, and wouldn't let the topic go
2. Said behind my back by a group of adult queer ex-friends. They kept making jokes on our (my partner's and my) account after we stopped talking. It is known both me and my partner are ace:
3. Said by my therapist. We somehow ended up on the topic of attraction and intimacy. I have told her that 1 am asexual. She asked me how I could be sure I was in love with my partner (this was around 6 years ago). My reply was, "I don't wish to kiss my friends." Which doesn't work for everyone, but I wanted to stop the questioning with something she could understand.
I have left the most uncomfortable experiences out. In my case sexual abuse was excused
I wanted to imitate my usual traditional style. I think I finally did it. Not sure if this is finished tho. You can see this as just COTL NariLamb fanart, or as COTL-AU art.
You are an artist, I believe. Every human is. A creator in a sense. The world doesn't need to know that you create, the world doesn't have to care. It doesn't have to admire what you do.
I am trying to design my lamb now that I can finally play woolhaven BUT minor issues I have never drawn furry art in my life
So if you have tips or advice or can recommend guides on how to learn this pls leave a reply
Hello COTL enjoyer and a furry artist at your service! I hope this short guide will be of help to you. You will possibly learn some new terms you could google later for tutorials :]
Ways of drawing:
Legs
Snouts / faces
Body
1. Legs [ Plantigrade (1) or Digitigrade (4), and inbetween ]
Before you decide on the legs of an anthropomorphic animal, you need to experiment, just like with anything.
Here we have two ends of the spectrum:
1. Plantigrade legs. Those are the legs that resemble human anatomy the most. The foot (paw) is resting flat on the ground, knees are straight and the femur, tibia and fibula (main bones in our legs) are proportionate to human legs.
2. Digitigrade legs. Those are the legs that resemble the most feral look. Imagine if an animal that you're drawing just evolved to walk. Have you ever seen a dog walking on two legs? It looks something like that. Proportions are mostly following animal proportions of the bones.
3. Everything in between. Here you play with proportions. Imagine what a leg would look like in any possible combination of the example 1 and 4 that you can think of. You just play with the proportions of those bones I just mentioned. Same "rules" go for the hands :]
This is how I draw mine:
2. Snouts/faces
Use references of animals you wish to draw, study their skull structure, the same as you'd do with a human. And imagine how this animal would look if it evolved to be more like us. Human skulls have small noses, ears are closer to our eyes and jaws and they're not at the top of our head. Compare a human skull/face that has similar features to an animal skull you're looking at. That also helps.
Pay attention to how their noses are shaped, the distance between their eyes and the tips of their nose. How visible their brow bone / forehead is. And keep what you like in your art.
I have created two versions of a fellow in the middle you see here. ^
As you can see, you can draw the same character in different styles, while still keeping your own style of drawing present. The left version is more of a humanoid face, while the right version is more animalistic. The key differences that I make are snout lengths. Plus, I prefer to draw their ears where ours would usually go.
3. Body
An anthro body, as in torso / arms / butt, you name it, usually looks really similar to a human body, but with fur / feathers / scales / other. You decide which length the tail is, if it even exists. And such. You decide where the furs and patterns go. The canvas is your playground!
All that matters truly, is that the head resembles an animal. However you draw the body, it can pass as an anthro body. Do not limit yourself to what I've said, or to what you've heard from others. Find your own style. It will come to you eventually. Keep drawing and don't forget to have fun!
Ps: it's okay to copy art that you like as practice. You will eventually find your own style of drawing them. So look up some furry art on Pinterest. I'd suggest searching " [animal name] fursona". Just to avoid potentially unwanted NSFW pieces.
I love you, friend who helped me fix my pc. This dude was with me in vc for HOURS two days in a row, explained everything perfectly with so much patience. I love you. Every artist friend needs to love their IT friend. Nothing makes me feel more loved than acts that show me they care. I love mutual care.
Every single one of them.
How I looked asking bro for help after weeks of torture (I did all I could)
I hope everybody who thinks using generative AI on a daily basis for the most general shit you could ever do as a human being gets into a situation where they need to think a bit here and there.
For your brains sake. That organ of yours is screaming for help or healthy stimulation and you're ignoring it.
has anyone noticed that after the porn ban of 2018 tumblr was essentially killed from the mainstream and everyone flocked to other social media sites like twitter and meta. then those sites got enshittified to where twitter became Nazi Central and meta sites had an entire meme around getting “zucced” aka mark zuckerberg himself would ban you for saying a no-no word like fuck. and then the mainstream shifted to tiktok where infamous toddlerspeak sentences like “he got unalived by a pew pew” were born because if you once again say a no-no word like kill or gun or any other word that isn’t corporate i mean kid friendly then the algorithm will bury your post into the ground. and somehow we’ve come full circle and tumblr is now the most bearable social media site because although we can’t have female presenting nipples we can at least talk to each other like adults. has anyone noticed that at all or is it just me and the flaming skull
I want to follow up on this post. I think I express myself better in Slavic. So I will translate the text through a translator after I write it. Apologies if some words sound strange, the English language is not so extensive that it could cover some Slavic words in their entirety. Original text is available after the cut.
The reduction of the weight of words was falsely proclaimed as a protective measure intended for the welfare of children. The increasing use of such terms could be observed in mid-2020. Under the pretext that such words were not applied to children. Such an explanation would make sense if we were talking about children under the age of 13. In European countries, children begin to be taught about the concepts of sex, sexual abuse, rape, murder, suicide, massacre and war when they turn 13, 14 or 15. Such conversations are necessary in order to prepare children for normal and rational functioning in the world and for understanding it. Withholding essential information from children related to the aforementioned topics is harmful. The problem is not the topic, nor its explanation. The problem is when children are frequently exposed to these topics. Be it in their own lives or on the Internet.
It is important to keep in mind that humans, as long as they are capable of it, will resist total censorship. We are a species that is creative in terms of the type of communication and its alternatives. Censoring the word "murder" does not stop the further development of conversations whose topic is exclusively related to murder as an act. A replacement for the word, be it another word, a sign or a symbol, will be found and replace the original word. But it will no longer hold the same weight, even if it will correctly convey the information, at least not with younger people. We associate the word "murder" with the ghastly act of taking the life of another being. With an act that is irreversible. The word "unlive" as its replacement reduces the weight of the act itself. For several reasons, but primarily because it sounds frivolous in our culture. In addition, censoring the word "murder" itself does not protect children from being exposed to conversations related to murder. Because as already mentioned, they continue to develop, and develop no matter what form of the word they use.
In conclusion, I would like to mention that children are not stupid. They will decode substitute words. They will understand them. They are also underdeveloped and naive. That is how they should be, flexible and curious so that their brains can develop as quickly and as well as possible. However, with improper upbringing and exposure to the wrong content in the wrong way, the best results will not be achieved.
Let's imagine a child who has never been introduced to the concept of murder. Because their parents unhealthily protect them from "harmful" topics. The child has grown up to the age of thirteen. They first encountered the concept of murder on the Internet, through reading conversations discussing a real event. The event is discussed for the purpose of transmitting information because the media did not publicize it. But because of censorship, instead of "murder", the word "unlive" is used. Which in itself, due to Internet humor, sounds like a joke. Like something frivolous. In addition, they consume posts related to the same topic every day. Willingly or not. If this child (as an adult) were to face a murder in real life, would they react in the same way as a person who grew up without excessive censorship and with minimal exposure?
The problem and the situation are obviously deeper and more complex than what I am stating. It is important to keep in mind the lack of medical care in the field of mental health, the lack of human closeness, the lack of proper parental care and the lack of education (which is what I am primarily focusing on here). All the conditions that we partly went through as the first modern children and all the conditions that today's children go through.
The whole point of this insufficiently extensive commentary on the situation is that censorship is not a solution. It is not even a temporary solution. It is a continuous aiding of the situation. An active worsening of the already terrible circumstances in which children are daily placed. The problem is not the topic but the frequency of its presentation and the way the topic is presented to a child or even an adult.
Hi, I don't post here a lot but I'm at the point where I'm using all available avenues to talk about my situation.
Recently I was diagnosed with cervical cancer (squamous cell carcinoma). It sucks, and I'm doing my best to work through it (mentally and physically).
Unfortunately, I'm uninsured. Creating art is my full-time job, and I have limited financial options. I'm currently waiting to see if I qualify for local assistance for cancer patients, but I have (and had) to go through multiple rounds of testing before my doctor is willing to sign off on the application and it's getting to the point I can't even cover my regular bills.
I have a few past due medical bills that equal about $800, upcoming bills that are going to be ~$4,000, as well as just making sure I can pay my personal bills in-between all of this. (rent, specifically). At the moment, I dont know what my treatment will look like in the future. This is covering the cost of an MRI to determine wether or not the cancer has spread to the surrounding tissue or organs which is the factor on if I only need surgery (they have currently determined a full hysterectomy is necessary), or if its more involved with chemo/radiation/immunotherapy. (This is why at this time im not interested in a GFM, I dont feel like I know what long term costs would look like)
I don't like asking for handouts, but I'm including my BMAC if you ever enjoyed my art, would like to continue seeing me create, and would like to leave me a tip.

And my VGen where I regularly open for commissions to try and keep up with the ever growing costs associated with having cancer.
https://vgen.co/moonrkgk
I try to keep up with commissions as much as I possibly can, working every day I'm able to. Im in a lot of pain and that may cause some delays but I try to be as fast as possible. If a commission type that interests you isnt open for any new slots, consider following for an email notification when one becomes available. (i will also post YCH or character sales there, as well.)
Anyway, I'm sorry i dont have something nice to post today, i wish i did. You can always view more recent arts on BSKY or furaffinity (most of my art/commissions are NSFW which is why i dont keep up with posting here as much as i would like)
Being a notorious robotlover in the current state of "AI" is the worst. I love robots discovering how they process their feelings in fiction, but when a chatbot pretends it knows how to love it feels like an insult to the craft
Guys, the Internet Archive still exists. Please..PLEASE USE IT.
I was able to listen to a original performance of Stoppard's Arcadia, having never known it was ever recorded in audio in '94.
Penda's Fen and other tv films/documentries/ dramas from decades ago that todays tv wouldn't have the bollocks to rebroadcast are available to watch for free.
Archive footage of everyday lives ,tech and culture from all over the world is availiable to study, watch AND LEARN.
Software, radio broadcasts, animation, texts it's all there...
