they could never make me trust cops
Reblogged this before reading the notes, so now I'm editing my reblog to note that this story is 7 years old, the nurse sued and won, the cop got fired, laws and policies got changed to further protect patients and healthcare workers
Me too Zak, me too.
I'm fucking exhausted
Hey guys! I dunno if you knew this but violent people w schizophrenia DO EXIST!
People that experience both violent hallucinations and psychosis DO EXIST!
And it’s really shitty to push us to the side and act like we don’t exist because it’s a popular negative stereotype for the disorder/less common to see!
We deserve to be listened to and receive the help that we need just as much as somebody who doesn’t experience any violent episodes.
If you’re somebody who has violent hallucinations/episodes and you’re reading this:
You are not a bad person just because of your episodes/hallucinations.
I sincerely hope you find positive coping methods to help prevent any of the violence.
Teen me pre adhd diagnosis just casually disassociating from stress & anxiety👌💯
does anyone else love stickers but never use them because you're too afraid to waste them.
The "Im so delulu!" Girls when I tell them that when I was 15 I didn't leave my room for months because I was convinced I was being sold on the black market and that every single person I encountered in public was a potential buyer that was only there to see if I was worth buying.
"I hate these medication side effects" and "this medication overall improves my quality of life and health" are two ideas that can coexist.
You can let people complain about their side effects while not suggesting they simply stop taking the meds.
You can acknowledge how helpful the meds are without erasing the impact of the side effects.
For a lot of us who need to take meds for the rest of our lives to be able to function, be content, and/or stop the progression of symptoms, we have no choice but to deal with the side effects. And we should be allowed to talk about the negative side effects without people suggesting we stop. Quitting medication isn't always an option, or it can make things significantly worse. The side effects just become a part of our life, and we should be able to complain about them just like any other difficulties in life.
I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for my meds, they have been incredible. But also I will always have a set of problems caused by those same medications. I can't have the benefits of the meds without the side effects, this is just my reality.
when you're heavily dissociated and people are trying to talk to you
i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point
you get it. you get the themes. i dont have time to do it justice. just look at it its on the ceiling
these exchanges and this fiddling about for the collective to appreciate in passing is, to me, true artistic spirit. I don't know what the past was truly like to live, but in my heart i know that humans have always been... like this
