After seeing the newest art from the Yoi x Saga prefecture collaboration, I couldn’t help myself either and had to draw them being the lovebirds they are  ₍₍ ( ๑॔˃̶◡ ˂̶๑॓)◞♡

random thing that just popped in my mind because I’ve popped my meds and they’re kicking in: when i got into yoi, in 2016 like most of us, i was yuuri’s age (23 going on 24) and i truly felt his panic and his fear of being a failure especially bc i have chronic depression so a lot of what he was going thru hit home for me. i didn’t really understand why viktor/victor (dont start with me about the official spelling, please) had just whimsically decided to fly across the globe to go find this man who’d lit a fire in him with a little clip of himself dancing. even with the explanation, i was just like ‘dude’s so wild still love him tho, amazing man, truly iconic’. and now that im his age, i finally got it. not the conquering the world bit ofc but the overall age mindset. the late twenties are an odd time of your life. the 30s knocking on your door feel scary and when you’re in a slump and tired of a dull existence, you get whimsical and wild especially when such a strong spark is lit inside you (which was what happened to vitya, i think and i think that’s sth we can all agree on). i thought about this because weren’t it for this fucking pandemic, you bet i’d be flying across the world to meet my friends as well. yeah. that’s all. just a random thought.
