I saw you today when I went to get myself some coffee. I didn't know you worked at the coffee shop, so it caught me by surprise. I was hesitant at entering the shop because I was nervous to talk to you. I told myself that I got it and entered in to find you smiling at me when I entered. You had asked why I was standing at the door for so long. I laughed and said that I was thinking of what to order, which was a big lie. It seemed like you had picked up on my lie but just went with it. I did order my coffee and couldn't stop talking to you after I got it. I decided to stay by the counter and talk to you as the day went by. When your shift was over, it was closing time for the coffee shop. I hadn't noticed that time went by that fast. I opted in to help you clean up and you wouldn't let me. I mean it was my fault that you were distracted during your shift. You were cleaning and we were still talking. We both left the coffee shop, the night air hitting us. I shivered slightly due to that autumn breeze. You noticed and offered me you jacket which I declined, but you wrapped it around my shoulders anyways. That's when you asked me out. You said, "You can keep my jacket, just bring it when we go on our date." It was a smooth line for sure which caught me off guard. I gladly accepted the offer, asking when the date would be. You told me, "Whenever you're free. I am in college still." I was shocked to learn that you were in college. That's when I found out we were both in the same grade... freshmen in college. Before the night got any darker, I gave you my phone number to keep in contact with me, and to let me know when we could go on our date. You asked me for my name, which I gave you immediately. You sent me a text with my name on it, a little greeting of hi. I told you that I had received it, and it was silent between us. It was a cheerful silence due to how much I was smiling and you were too. You seemed to come back to earth for a moment and apologized for standing there since it was getting late. I said it was fine since there was a bus that I took to get home. You decided to join me on the walk there, waiting with me for the bus to arrive. We talked about how school was going for us and what job we are trying to get. You want to be a video game programmer, which is a pretty good thing to become nowadays. I mentioned how I programmed and you were amazed by it, asking what type of programming I was going to do. Like a scene in a movie or TV show, the bus arrived soon, cutting our time short. Even though I wanted to talk more, I got up to get onto the bus. "I'll text you when I get home," I said as the bus doors opened. "Okay, I'll do the same," he replied. I got on the bus, taking a seat, waving to you as it drove off. I smiled as I saw you wave too. When I arrived home, I kept the jacket on for a bit while I searched my closet for something to wear for our date. When I found something, that I thought was good, I put it aside. I was overjoyed at the thought of going on a date, since it has been a very long while since I went on one. I write in here, hoping our date goes well. I mean you are pretty cute, but I want to know you a bit more. Hopefully we have the same goals and more things in common.
