The perfect gift for your animal-mad partner/friend/relative
We’ve all heard of “Adopt a Tiger” or “Adopt a Panda” campaigns. Whilst these are worthy causes, why not share some love for some less appreciated animals?
Adopt a Lobster
Look at these adorable lobsters. You can name a lobster for only £3.00GBP, which gets you a certificate and you can find out when your lobster has been released into the wild off the coast of Cornwall, UK. There’s plenty of other options too, which come with stuffed plush lobsters, chocolate lobsters, anything lobster-related you could want!
Money goes towards the National Lobster Hatchery, which raises lobsters and releases them into the wild as part of a sustainable scheme which works alongside local fishermen to increase wild lobster populations. This scheme has been so successful it’s being introduced to other parts of the UK, too!
Name a Roach
Lobsters not for you? How about naming a roach, for only $15USD. Plus there’s a bunch of really cute cockroach-related goodies up for grabs, too. Money raised goes towards the Wildlife Conservation Society!
Adopt a Kākāpō
Okay, so maybe you don’t like invertebrates. That’s okay, there’s plenty of lesser known vertebrates looking for help, too.
You can adopt a kākāpō and help protect the remaining 151 in the wild. 151, that’s crazy! That’s only 1 generation of pokémon’s worth of kākāpō left in the wild.
This adoption scheme is a little more pricy, with $100 NZD for the lowest tier, but it gets you an adoption certificate, a plush kakapo and some other goodies! Who wouldn’t want to adopt a kākāpō named “Bluster Murphy”?
Plush American Oystercatcher!
Not strictly an adoption scheme, 20% of the sale price ($49 USD) of each of these adorable Plush American Oystercatchers goes to real Oystercatchers through a donation to the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey. I just couldn’t resist adding this.
Thank you for reading! If anyone has any more unusual animal adoption suggestions, feel free to add onto this post!

You're a witch?
Not quite, I’m just interested in it and would like to possibly start somewhere small. I used to have a collection of crystals i would use a lot. ;w;

She Lives!
Sorry for the flood of posts! My fiance and I have decided we would like to start doing a few simple spells and things to center ourselves again after my little spout with cancer. (All is well though, no worries!) I used to dabble in crystals for a while but I am going to have to restart my collection again, sadly. But if anyone has any spells or tips or anything they would wish to share that would be great!
💧✨ "Cleanse and Protect" Spray Potion ✨💧
This potion is meant to be sprayed in each of the four corners of your rooms to have a two-in-one benefit of cleansing your space and protecting it as well!
Items needed:
- A Spray Bottle - “Cleanse and Protect” Sigil - Jasmine Oil - Peridot (chips or the stone) - Filtered Water - Amethyst - A candle
Steps:
Put a couple drops of Jasmine Oil into the spray bottle. Add the Peridot and then the filtered water. Draw or tape the sigil onto the bottle and then set it near or on top of the Amethyst. Light the candle near by to allow it to charge and soak up the energies of the Peridot, Amethyst, Jasmine Oil, and the candle light.
When you are finished, spray in all corners of your room or house and breathe in the scent of Jasmine to soothe and cleanse your soul and aura. It would be good to meditate on these good feelings to fill your space with positive energy. 💕
DIY Green Witch Portable Altar
If you’re like me, and like to bring your earthy witchcraft with you this is the DIY for you.
cost breakdown and materials:
✨ Wood box - $2.99 from craft store (but most stores have coupons)
✨ Stain - $4.99 (a small bottle will last you forever)
✨ Moss - $5 from a craft store (I’m sure you can fine it somewhere cheaper)
(side note: I don’t recommend getting it from the ground. It can lead to mold/bugs/allergy issues)
✨ Hot glue
✨ Acrylic Paint and brushes
Prep your box by sanding down any rough edges, removing any stickers, as well as making sure it’s dry and clean.
Stain your box. You can use a rag or brush to apply stain. Read the directions on your stain bottle, and wipe off extra stain. I love wood stain.
The latch has an eagle on it :)
After your stain is dry prep for the sky. You can prep with gesso or just white acrylic paint. This will make your colors pop more. I just dove in with painting, but if you want really crisp border lines use masking tape.
While waiting for the white to dry I hot glued in some moss. It takes the glue really well, but retains its fluffiness.
Add your night sky. To avoid having to paint tons of layers because your paint is transparent, ad a little white in. For the sky I mixed white, black, and blue, and left it a little unblended for a foggy feel.
Ad stars. I chose Cassiopeia, Polaris, and the Big Dipper. Use a tooth pic to get small dots.
Add in your items. I didn’t have a tea candle so I made a temporary candle from a shell. I also added some jars for herbs and a couple of crystals.

Personal collection set in snow ✨🌙 Instagram: xtwii
@140–38 @turky61
With it being all snowy out I got a little bored and decided to paint my little cow jaw. I wish I had some better paints but I did alright with what I had! I'm thinking of doing this to other skulls and then selling them???
Comic I made based on personal experiences. Never really made comics before :/
This is great.
He looked so pretty resting on the couch after our adventure in the woods that I had to take some higher quality shots. Enjoy~
I took my hen out into the woods to bury her and did my usual ‘ritual’ of placing wildflowers around the body (I normally do this after hunting or just taking an animals life in general, idk why, it’s just always been a thing) and this butterfly landed on them and just would not leave. I found it kind of interesting and it was like a 'wow, circle of life!’ Moment so I felt inclined to leave her there so she would be eaten and become life and nutrients for some predator.
You must go on adventures to find out where you belong.
