I don't care for TADC but props to Goose for making a trans character that just fucking sucks, I think we need more of that. I really love this guy, my friend clocked the Disney villain and G1 inspiration immediately and that makes me happy

Lord Thunderous Stormvane is a wickedly clever warlock residing in a dark, ominous cumulonimbus spire in the sky. Thunderous tilts his chin up when speaking to another so that regardless of footing, he is looking down on them. He maintains a languid, theatrical flair and is no stranger to using rhetorical questions and sarcasm to really hammer in how much smarter he thinks he is compared to others. This isn't without reason of course, as he's more than capable of backing up his arrogance with a wit as precise and quick as a lightning bolt. He occupies as much space as he can, letting his cape flow freely without a breeze or lounging without regard for others. While Thunderous typically thinks little of others and even less of those beneath him, those that catch his eye are treated more like possessions than equals, toys to be tossed aside when he's grown bored of them. After selecting, charming and bedding a strapping would-be Wonderbolt, Thunderous cast him aside once he was certain he was pregnant. His purpose was fulfilled. His strong body and Thunderous's sharp mind would make excellent heirs for both his hopeful sky kingdom and his unique mastery of weather magic. Now, Thunderous lounges upon a polished ebony throne alone, awaiting the arrival of his heirs and the subsequent grip his lineage will have on Equestria.

The son of a humble cloud sculptor and an unassuming rainbow technician, Thunderous quickly tired of what he believed to be subservience to the masses. While every pegasus is capable of manipulating weather patterns with some practice, Thunderous believes pegasi are clipping their wings by focusing their talents on servitude. Clearing the sky and watering crops for those who cannot soar. Weather factories and technicians have a long list of regulations to follow, and they must ensure things like UVs, temperature, pressure and humidity are withing ranges for the comfort and safety of the public. Thunderous finds this absurd. Since he was a child, he would sneak away from flight practice or cloudkicking lessons to study the limits of meteorological magic and how he may possibly shatter them. He sabotaged his(and his classmates') raincloud assignments by sneaking warm air pockets into them and causing small storms, with one such incident causing his upper lip to be partially torn off. Through his studies, dangerous experimentation and disregard for anything but arcanoscientific discovery, he created echoing thunder, torrential rain and biting blizzards but he wanted to go beyond that. He wanted to unlock the true power of storms. He spent many moons tracking the drifting ruins of Boltspire, an ancient pegasus citadel that once housed the fearsome warlord Boltsplitter. From its rubble, Thunderous recovered the warlord's regalia: lightless ebony set with deep purple jewels that crackled with lightning. From there, the ancient dark magic deep within the jewels amplified Thunderous's power, allowing him to not only create supercells with unseen destructive power but also cast lightning strikes as magic. He used this new power to construct his own skyborne fortress similar to Boltspire, but where Boltsplitter had fallen, Thunderous would reign. His cumulonimbus citadel, Skybreaker Peak, is a grandiose and terrifying floating tower of violent storm clouds that spit lightning and hail seemingly of their own accord, as temperamental and unpredictable as their master. The surrounding airspace is surrounded by lashing winds and lighting that tears the sky apart, keeping the unworthy away from his glory. Though he looks down on those who fail to fly, Thunderous has a quiet envy for skilled earth mages. Their ability to cause tremors and earthquakes eludes him and that fact sickens him.
