After what felt like hours, I finally found an outfit that looked decent enough to go out in. Just as I was about to start getting ready, my phone buzzed.
It was Jeongin: I’ll be there in 15.
I rushed to finish up, grabbed a few accessories, and headed out the door right as he texted again that he’d arrived. Locking up quickly, I jogged to his car and slipped into the back seat.
Jeongin turned around with a bright smile. Seungmin sat beside him, scrolling on his phone.
“Hi, yn!” Jeongin said excitedly.
“Hi, Jeongin… Seungmin,” I replied, giving a small nod when Seungmin glanced at me through the mirror.
“Oh—these are for you.” Jeongin reached over, took a bouquet from Seungmin, and handed it to me.
“Shhh. We’re treating you today. The flowers are just the start.”
I smiled softly as he started the car.
When we got to the mall, Jeongin hurried around to open my door.
“Oh? A gentleman?” I teased.
“Anything for you, m’lady.”
I laughed quietly and started toward the entrance. Suddenly, Seungmin appeared beside me and grabbed my hand, still focused on his phone.
“I’m just making sure you don’t wander off. Don’t think about it.”
“Right…” I muttered, trying to ignore the warmth creeping into my face.
I glanced over at Jeongin. “So… did you come here for anything specific?”
“Nothing in particular. We’ll see.”
The second we walked in, Jeongin pulled me straight into a clothing store.
“Come on, ynnie! We need to fix your fashion sense.”
“Hey—!” I protested, but he was already dragging me around, showing me different outfits before getting distracted and wandering off.
“Hi,” Seungmin said suddenly, looking directly at me.
“Hi…?” I replied, unsure.
“Because you’re making me nervous.”
He nodded slightly, then glanced over at Jeongin. “If he gets too much, I’ll take over.”
I raised an eyebrow. “So you can be nice?”
“Of course. I just choose not to.”
He leaned a little closer. “You’re lucky I’m being nice today.”
I gently pushed him back. “Yeah, yeah. I get it.”
“I’ll behave. It’s a date, after all.”
He grabbed my hand again and led me back to Jeongin.
“Where’d you two go?” Jeongin asked.
“Nowhere,” Seungmin answered.
Jeongin looked between us but shrugged. “Food court! I’m starving.”
We ended up at a table, and Jeongin pushed Seungmin toward the food stalls.
“He’ll do it,” Jeongin cut him off with a grin.
Once Seungmin walked off, Jeongin leaned forward. “So… do you like us yet, or do we need to try harder?”
“You’ve barely done anything.”
“We’re pacing ourselves. We’ve only just started.”
“What if I don’t like slow?”
Jeongin laughed. “You couldn’t handle our pace.”
Seungmin returned with food, setting the tray down. “I guessed what you might like.”
“Thanks,” I said, smiling.
We ate comfortably, the conversation light. Afterward, we wandered through more stores before finally heading back to the car, hands full of bags.
“You could’ve gotten something,” Jeongin said.
“It’s okay. I didn’t really want anything.”
He shrugged and opened my door again. “Still a gentleman.”
As I got in, Seungmin slid into the back beside me. He didn’t say anything, just sat close, still on his phone.
“So… did you like the date?” Jeongin asked as he drove.
“I don’t know… it was kind of lame,” I said jokingly.
He gasped dramatically. “Excuse me?”
“I’m kidding! I loved it. Thank you.”
“Anytime,” he said with a wink.
The ride went quiet. I stared out the window until I felt a hand brush mine.
“Are you secretly clingy?” I asked.
“He’s lying,” Jeongin chimed in. “He loves attention.”
Seungmin shot him a look and pulled his hand back.
“Sure,” I teased. “Total tsundere.”
He just turned away, clearly annoyed.
When we got to my apartment, they both walked me to the door.
“So? Best date ever?” Jeongin asked.
As I reached for my keys, Seungmin grabbed my wrist and handed me a small box.
I opened it, surprised to find a necklace inside. “This is for me?”
“We thought you’d like it,” Jeongin added.
“You guys… this is really sweet. Thank you.”
I smiled at both of them before unlocking my door. “Do you want to come in for a bit?”
They exchanged a glance, then nod
The door swung shut behind us
Before I could set anything down, Jeongin appeared in front of me and Seungmin closed the distance behind. Hands landed on either side of my waist, warm and sure, and suddenly there was no room to think
"So," Jeongin murmured, leaning in. "Do we get an end-of-date kiss?"
I didn't answer with words. My hand found the back of his neck, and I pulled him closer
His lips met mine slowly, almost testing the waters, and then the kiss deepened on its own. Jeongin hummed into my mouth, something low and pleased, before pulling back just enough so I could breathe
Then Seungmin's palm cradled my jaw, tilting my face toward his. He didn't ask. He just pressed his mouth to mine with a quiet, steady hunger, and the line of restraint I'd been holding all night snapped. His tongue slipped past, slow at first, then deeper, and I forgot what I'd been planning to say
Jeongin moved to my neck, his lips trailing down the sensitive curve of my skin. A gentle bite, then a suck that made me shiver
"Can I mark you?" he whispered against my ear, teeth grazing
He bit down hard enough to leave a bruise, and a soft moan slipped out of me before I could stop it. Seungmin finally pulled away, and a thin thread of saliva connected our lips for half a second before breaking
"So," I said, breathless and sure of myself for the first time all night. "Wanna spend the night?"
"Absolutely," they said at the same time
