actually, irt killing yourself and gender discourse, you can't escape it even if you do kill yourself. you see men kill themselves in messy ways that are both deadlier and more visible because they're black holes of attention and must make everything about themselves, while women attempt more often but fail because they're so considerate and worry about how others will feel when they find their remains so they do it quietly. so if you're trans you should really think about how you choose to kill yourself cause it's gonna determine how people gender you and whether you're a sympathetic victim or a self-centered attention seeker. of course, cis people don't have to consider such things, which is why Christine Chubbuck can kill herself in front of a live audience and still be considered a delicate woman, unlike those disgusting self-centered moids who do similar things and make their problems everyone else's fault.
I ❤️ Christine Chubbuck
My roman empire is the Christine Chubbuck case.
snitches and talkers get stitches and walkers // fall out boy
the only movie i’ve full on cried to in a long time was the christine chubbuck movie and i spent like two days trying not to cry thinking about her

The refusal by Canada’s High Court to hear a First Nation’s appeal against the decision in New Brunswick establishes a precedent that First Nations can seek compensation for loss of traditional lands, but they will not be able to assert ownership.
WOW. Absolutely fuck them.
The Crown-Indigenous Relations Department says the ruling will inform arguments in other cases, including Cowichan, adding that “private property rights are fundamental.”
What a cute thing to say from the people who stole that fucking land to call it 'private property' in the first fucking place.
i have a suggestion
Women are mocked in death called crazy, have their reasons ignored and lied about, nobody honors them. Women aren’t allowed to be martyrs in the way men are.
No one could say that Christine Chubbuck didn’t wish; if anything, she was undone by the fervency of her wishing.

Rest in Peace, Christine Chubbuck, you deserve more than being put in shitty YouTube compilations
Condition, a piece about Christine Chubbuck
On July 15, 1974, christine chubbuck died by suicide during a live broadcast of her segment Suncoast Digest she announced that viewers were to see “a television first” before shooting herself with a .38 caliber revolver she purchased earlier that week.
Throughout her adult life, christine suffered from long term depression. People who worked with her noticed that she was often withdraw, quiet, and socially isolated. despite being a skilled journalist, she reportedly struggled with loneliness and a tendency toward self deprecation.
She also had trouble with relationships and was said to feel detached from fellow coworkers and romantic partners. Some accounts described her as someone who deeply wanted meaningful connection but felt like she couldn’t grasp it. Over time, her depression spiraled, and she expressed frustration about her job and life direction.
Special thanks to longtime reader (and now, my partner ❤) Bec, for providing me with Chris' birth certificate.
Finally have an appointment with the local mental health facility. During the intake call, I talked about Christine Chubbuck cause I keep thinking about what happened and how I could relate to her.
I know i need help. The first step feels so relieving already.
thinking about christine chubbuck again...
thinking about her relationship with her mom. thinking about how she wanted to blend in so badly. thinking about how her coworkers swore they were good to her yet she had to observe their lives bloom every day without her. thinking about how she held shows for disabled children. thinking about how she didn't want much and yet all of it seemed so hard to achieve. thinking about how her body betrayed her and convinced her her life was over. thinking about how she escaped by decorating her room with innocent things only to be called "like a teenager's" by the press after her passing. thinking about how she was forced to be professional every day despite the heaviness in her soul. thinking about people thinking her self deprecation was inconvenient and uncomfortable. thinking about how her script went on even after the planned shooting. thinking about her coworkers claiming they were "frightened by her rage". thinking about how nobody really knew the real her and she's gone forever now.
Christine Chubbuck Story: Why Her Death Changed TV Forever
Christine Chubbuck’s on-air death in 1974 prompted a major shift in broadcast journalism. You’ll see how her tragedy led newsrooms to adopt stricter ethical standards and improve mental health awareness for reporters. Media organizations now balance truthful reporting with sensitivity to human dignity. This event also increased caution around airing sensitive live content. Her legacy reshaped how…
