with crk and crob being separate stories in the same multiverse, something specific i like is how it changes a lot of characters' development, especially given that they take place in different settings.
ananas dragon is commonly associated with the sun, with both games emphasizing this motif. the sun's antithesis is usually said to be the moon.
ananas' moon in kingdom is represented by night raven. a being sent forth to restore the twisted timeline and defeat the golden dragon, as the circle has destined it to be.
during the bad ending, which had already canonically happened in another timeline, ananas is successfully slain by night raven, the island falling into darkness by raven's talons without their protection soon after.
on the other hand, ananas' moon in ovenbreak is simply themselves (or rather, their own costume); the ultimate result of failing their one purpose, making them throw away all their pride and former qualities in pursuit of vengeance and mindless destruction.
in the bad ending this time, longan destroying the island and all its cookies dying causes ananas dragon to fall from grace and corrupt, eventually being reborn as raging calamity.
there's also a few visual and text similarities between rc and crk!nr (ie nr's strands of gray hair + him being constantly compared to a calamity). hell, the music that plays during the level selection in Dark Winged Guardian is raging's own lobby music.
ananas' dialogue also has parallels to raging's lines;
given this context, the "chilling lullabies" in question is likely remnants of the dragontongue song ananas had taught the mango tribe.
(side note - rc losing so much that they've started straight up hallucinating their own islanders is going to be the death of me)
also find it interesting how while night raven is a calm yet deadly force focused on carrying out his tainted idea of nature's order, rc is deadset on causing chaos and nuking everything out of their raw grief.
overall, i really like this direction of how they're treating the characters of the dragons being pitted against the corrupted guardians, especially since we know it's highly unlikely that the dragons' development is going to go with the exact same events as it did in ovenbreak. guy who thinks: im thinking
