hunger, hinata’s bike, and brazil

I’ve been thinking a lot about this panel:

And how I (along with most people i think), immediately saw the parallel to this panel:

And while this is a GREAT parallel that says a lot about Hinata and Kageyama’s relationship, and how Kageyama has become a source of inspiration for Hinata, I also wanna talk about Hinata’s bike and how I’ve always associated it with Haikyu!!’s themes about hunger and drive, and how some of my initial feelings toward that Brazil panel have slightly changed the more I thought about it.
