Slytherin Relationships
Slytherin/Gryffindor: The flame that burns the brightest, and the strongest of Slytherin relationships. Any Gryffindor capable of wrangling a stubborn Slytherin, and any Slytherin capable of dealing with a headstrong Gryffindor, is a feat in itself and is a testament to how strong this relationship is. Each is eager to problem-solve for the other, the Slytherin with their cunning, roundabout methods, and the Gryffindor with their straightforward ones. When they're not playfully butting heads, they're challenging each other to grow more, do more, play more.
Slytherin/Hufflepuff: Both are fiercely protective over the other in their own special ways. The Slytherin is more likely to be publicly protective, standing up for the Hufflepuff in any situation, giving them confidence boosters when they are doubtful, sometimes offering to handle their issues for them but sometimes going ahead without confirmation. The Hufflepuff is more privately protective, the one that whispers sweet nothings to the other, the one that bakes and gets the warm blankets out on bad nights. Lots of "good morning" and "how are you doing" texts. Don't ever mess with a Hufflepuff with a Slytherin watching over them.
Slytherin/Slytherin: The power couple. The two will undoubtedly be talking shit together about someone behind their back at any given time, and will confide in each other their worst dislikes, their favorites, and even their fears. They match each other's effort, energy, and ambition, and to others come off more as a unit than as two individuals. They are a reflection of the other; if one goes above and beyond, the other will follow, even if that is into power or into madness. Their arguments can spiral quickly if one doesn't reign the situation in early on.
Slytherin/Ravenclaw: Perhaps the most dangerous of Slytherin relationships, and perhaps the one to be most feared. The two act as catalysts for each other, always striving to be better for themselves and for the other, always matching energy and then exceeding it. Every challenge makes them stronger, and every puzzle makes them wiser. Powerful study couple. The Slytherin finds themselves incapable of keeping secrets from the other, making hiding emotions and surprise birthday parties a whole new challenge. Will support each other in any endeavor, and will encourage self control, rather than expressing control over the other. Quite possibly the relationship with the strongest foundations.

There was a bit of talk in the last interview Elizabeth H did about secrets straining the FitzSimmons relationship. It could all be past tense because they seem to have already been there, done that this season but is it possible Simmons does look for Fitz Dad without Fitz knowing? Not to deliberately go behind Fitz's back but with the best of intentions to protect Fitz? So for example if she knows where he is and can monitor him, she can better protect Fitz from him if he is still a 'bad man'?

If we do go into Jemma keeping a secret from Fitz, Papa Fitz will be it. Β Fitz understand that with her position there will be things she canβt share (and that bit has gone by the wayside with the recent βrestructuringβ if you will). Β Meaning it has to be something she can tell him but doesnβt. Β They set it up so clearly that Fitz wasnβt nothing to do with his father. Β Walked away from and destroyed Robocliffe before he could relay it. Β The perfect recipe for it coming back into play. Β
I donβt think Jemma goes digging on her own. Β Sheβs not going to suddenly start looking for Papa Fitz just to keep tabs on him when sheβs been aware of the situation for all these years. Β What I can see happening is something triggers her to start looking or even knowing something and keeping it from Fitz. Β She has to feel there is enough of a threat to him. Β To protect him. Β The ONLY reason she hides anything from him is to protect him. Β Yay parallelsβ¦.
Radcliffe (or AIDA) could give her the message instead. Β Especially if the message was aΒ βIβm coming for youβ or a warning kind of thing. Β
She is FORCED to keep it from Fitz, IE she is somehow blackmailed, if she tells him heβll get hurt and not just emotionally. Β
Who does the blackmailing can run the gambit. Β Radcliffe, Nadeer, Papa Fitz, a new player.
She gets information from another channel that there is a threat to Fitz and it involves his father, but before she can take it to him she needs to investigate it further. Β IE she wontβ risk upsetting him until sheβs sure.
An opportunity may come in 14 as the team is in a giant cat and mouse cameβ¦they could get separatedβ¦and if Jemma is alone a shadowy figure could approach her.Β
Or again a message just mysteriously shows up and triggers her protective streak.
Just because Jemma is leaving it alone doesnβt mean Mack will, if he feels there is enough of a threat (possibly after getting into Radlciffeβs history while looking for May with Coulson). Β He goes to Daisy for help, they go digging, find something and give that to Jemma. Β Though they specifically talk about her keeping things from him so Iβm not sure on this one. Β Just want it on the table. Β
The set up is there, not only for the secrets but in Role Reversal and Woman on Fire as well (I am going down with that ship now more than ever). Β Jemma is fiercely protective of him and we have really seen that in the last couple of episodes. Β Next week more set up, as she almost loses him to the Watchdogs/Superior. Β This made even worse if she knows someone is after him. Β Its a bit of a parallel to Season 2, when Coulson knew Cal was after Skye but hid it from her to try to protect her from him as well. Β
I have to say I am insanely excited about what could be comingβ¦if its anything like Iβm thinking and starting to lay out in metas I am going to be over the moon!
