I'm new to tumblr, but I am in college and am getting my degree in slime physiology and slime culture. Looking for unique slimes to study!

the myth-bio department at Wizard College has some captive slimes for experimentation purposes. the tanks, of course, are labeled “⚠️DO NOT HANDLE SLIMES ALONE⚠️” but every single year there’s some freshman who ends up falling behind on work and tries to pull a desperate all-nighter in the lab and ends up engulfed and oviposited for their trouble

this actually happened at my school. it was... rough. we ended up with an impromptu lesson on slime birth and some free trauma.

They ended up locking up the labs at night after that

... I’m just glad I was smart enough to work in groups. never know what could've happened

So a certain slimegirl has been trying to get me to use tumblr more often, so I thought I would make a silly little update post.

I graduated, and got a job with the dungeon guild as an official researcher. I also started dating a special someone

and its been amazing :3

I’m gonna try to find some time to post here about my work and about my personal research :)

If you put me in a jar you're coming in with me. Adventurers are food, but I'm picky about who I go for.

My viscosity can be on a whole range of things. What I want is what goes. I'm more liquidy when I'm hungry though.

Also, I had no idea slimes could consciously/subconsciously adjust viscosity! Show's me what six years of school has taught me. Can I see? for research of course.

So.... That ancient dungeon huh...

I got some really nice photos of slimes, and also found a... guy....

He was partially absorbed by a blue slime, and I offered to free him, but he seemed... distracted.

I guess he was enjoying it? He wasn't even being eaten, it was just keeping him there. I cant figure out why he wouldn't want me to help him escape? I think I need to research this deeper.

Went on an adventure in the dark forest last night, was almost caught by a red slime. I thought it was over for me.

I was saying something about me "looking edible" and I just squealed and froze it. I never understood why my professors insisted I learned offensive and defensive magics until now.

Holy shit. Let's hope the ancient dungeon I’m visiting next week will have less surprises.

That feels like a pretty bold assumption, and you're avoiding answering my questions again. I would love to put you in my research paper, you seem to be a very knowledgeable source on these topics, and I realllly need something new to impress my professor.

Any other intentions of mine are purely for my own private research, I promise. :)
