My cats have this meow that means "please come with me to fix this" after which they'll lead me to the problem in question, usually a empty (or 'empty') food bowl or a closed door they want open. They look at the 'problem', they look back at me, clear message.

What fascinates me is how this illustrates what they percieve as being in the realm of my 'power.' I control the food, I control the door, sure, but my cats love to sit on the balcony in the sun, and it has happened plenty of times that on a rainy day they come get me, go to the balcony and show me... the rain. "Please fix this" they say. "Please get rid of the wet"

"Silly kitty," I say, "I can't control the rain." I then walk into the shower and turn on the rain.

honestly if i could absolve everyone of one thing it would be any lingering shame about not knowing how to take care of your body/health because of a home environment that didnt teach you how to or prevented you from doing so. i wince every time i see people snap at strangers online with 'how DIDNT you know that!?' to like, basic hygiene or nutritional information. or hell even just for having believed misinformation... i do think its important that, once youre an adult to form a curiosity about these things and i cheer everyone on who's still learning. i wish the world were gentler to us all, its difficult to know what it is you're lacking if you were never shown how to or taught the importance of how to care for yourself. i think we can all get there someday

i have seen 3 different takes IN A ROW of xenk from the dnd movie OBVIOUSLY representing:

the DM's friend who wanted to bring his high level character in to play for one session

an NPC the DM realized was OP and couldn't let stay with the party

the one friend in the group whose schedule is never open, so the one time they actually make it they get to do all the coolest bits to make up for that
