I knew, looking at him, that things were coming to an end. You could just tell from the way he looked, that the love just wasn’t there anymore. Maybe it evaporated into thin air, or maybe it just eroded over time, like the way the ocean slowly tears away at the earth. It turned into something unrecognizable, and then it was gone. So, I just stood there, and took it all in one last time, while there was still something to hold onto. I loved him in that moment, but like all moments, it passed – and then I let him go.
