this is goodbye

hello sweet loves.

i hope you guys see this before you unfollow me because i’m going to miss all of you, especially the ones whom my characters have gotten close to because damn, we had a connection. particularly rose, anne and liz. 

i haven’t had the time to dedicate myself to the rp, particularly with the way rl has taken over and my rl obligations have caused me to lose focus on this rp. but know that i’ve had extreme fun getting to know each and everyone of you and rped with each and everyone of you. even writing this has gotten me teary-eyed. 

thank you guys for an amazing run and allowing me to bring both eris and lachesis to life.

“No if I gave you that, I wouldn’t be so mysterious.” he looked back at her. He walked off the wall, “I’m Gideon.”

“So you’re a man of mystery then?” Sloane laughed softly, not quite believing him but at the same time, also believing him. She deliberately did not give him her name. “Well, hello, Gideon. What other mysteries are you hiding?”

“Yes, but the question is: do you have the necessary skill?” she smirked at Sloane’s reaction to Larenzo. “If you think so lowly of him, why bother making yourself his business partner? You only subject yourself to being around him more.” She frowned at the look on Sloane’s face at the prospect of chaos. It hadn’t done much for Pamela in the recent past or the long past for that matter. “From the look on your face, you would think it doesn’t effect you the way it does everyone else.”

“I like to think I do,” Sloane said haughtily and with more conviction than she felt. Her skills were passable and she could save her life if needed but she was by no means skillful. “Because I can run his business much better than he can. He thinks only with his fists and not his brain and he makes unwise decisions that cause him to lose money. I saved his life and he’s not even grateful.” Sloane exhaled slowly, in a measured breath, determined to not lose her tempter. At Pamela’s words, Sloane lied. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust the other woman; she didn’t trust anyone at all. “Appearances are deceiving, Pamela. I am merely more optimistic than anyone else.”

Antonia raised an eyebrow, admiring the woman’s courage. “Do you really mean that or are you just too tired to move?” she asked before poking the woman playfully.

Sloane yelped although there was no pain at all in the poking. She was just being dramatic. She drunkenly batted Antonia away. “I really do mean that. I’ve never been susceptible to gossip and my reputation, well, it doesn’t matter. No one would dare cross me.” Her eyes fluttered shut. “I am also too tired to move.”

Catriona noticed that she didn’t answer the question but didn’t push further either. “I have my ways.” She responded, boldly. “What brings you here?” Cat asked, continuing the conversation since it was clear that the woman didn’t want to dwell on her question.

“I cannot ask a seductress like yourself to reveal your secrets but do tell, what ways are these?” Sloane was in no way attracted to women but she believed, in another life, she might have been. She also had a deep appreciation for women who could use their feminine wiles to take down the world. She offered Cat a small smile. “Would you believe me if I said I came looking for you?”

“I’m no thief!” she protested, shocked and angry anyone would think so. “Why would I steal from you? Let me go now before I call for my guards.”

“We may be poor and we may live on the streets but that doesn’t give you the rights to steal from us and then call your guards.” Sloane’s voice was calm and measured, cold and vicious. She truly believed that it was Carina who had stolen from her. But still, she released her. “You upper class women are all the same.”

Colette gave the raven a small pet on the head. She was happy the bird was getting so comfortable with her. That’s what happened when you fed the same animal everyday. “I’ll try and convince him to do that. I can’t make any promises though. His friend’s are a whole other subject.”

Sloane eyed the bird warily, afraid that it was going to attack her at any moment. She didn’t mind animals but not when they got too close to her. “Well, you can tell him to tell his friends to keep away from my food and my garden while they’re at it.” Sloane frowned for a moment. “Wait, what makes you think it’s a boy bird?”

Her lips curled up into a cat-like smile when she heard the woman’s voice, knowing who it was immediately. “I would never do such a thing, Miss Hedvig.” Sloane’s actions didn’t go unnoticed, but for the time being, Nimue said nothing of it. She didn’t consider the woman a thief by any means, but she couldn’t say that the man didn’t deserve it, or more for that matter. “And what would you have done to him, my dear? Dragged him down to the Pit to fight him?” She laughed at the thought, as enticing as it actually sounded.

“You wouldn’t do such a thing? That’s a likely story. I seem to recall a moment where you had threatened to drown a man in the ocean or perhaps, my memory is failing.” The smirk on Sloane’s lips said otherwise and she slowly crossed her arms and dared Nimue to refute her accusation. Sloane thought better of her actions and with a sigh, tossed the purse she had just swiped into the air, letting whoever caught it to keep it. She was many things but she wasn’t a thief. At Nimue’s words, Sloane laughed softly. “No, I would not fight him. He would not bring me any money. I would have...,” and Sloane left it at that, smiling wickedly.

“I wish you luck in that endeavor,” she rose a brow. “I’d always thought you were more the brains of the Pit than the brawn.” Sloane’s hesitance didn’t escape Pamela’s notice, and she gave the other a look that said as much. “I’ve been playing it safe, yes. Though it seems like the city is finally recovering from the riots.”

“I don’t need luck. Just skill.” She scowled. “I am the brains. The stupid oaf Larenzo is the brawn.” Sloane narrowed her eyes at the mention of her business partner and rival. Pamela’s knowing look didn’t escape Sloane but she wasn’t going to explain herself, whether she was asked to or not. “Yes, but I do not expect the peace to last for very long for peace is always followed by chaos.” A wicked grin spread on her lips. She hated what the riots did for her business but she also loved the destruction.

“Oh, no, they did this to themselves.” he said watching at the female took a place next to him. GIdeon really didn’t care what caused the fight, it was just something to watch to pass the time.

Sloane was quiet a few minutes as she watched the couple fighting but she soon fell bored. It was just two annoying people squabbling over some petty matter. And so far, no one was bleeding. “They’re boring.” She turned to Gideon. “You who do not stop fights, are far more interesting. Who are you?”

"Let me applaud you for such a magnificent performance.” Her voice dripped with sarcasm. “I’ve never met someone with such...skill.”

“You look tired, dear. I would hate for you to fall asleep in a brothel, you should know people would talk of such a thing.”

“Let me fall asleep here. What do I care of what the people say? Let them talk!” Aside from being tired and sleepy, Sloane was also a tad drunk and ready to indulge in Antonia.

Colette stared at the raven in front of her for a few moments before smiling. “No….no..” she said almost talking to the bird before looking to the person next to her. “He says he does not like you very much.” she laughed

“I don’t care much whether he likes me or not. As long as he can tell his friends to stop stealing my food all the time.” Sloane wondered once again if she was going soft. She was indulging in the whims of the odd girl. As if she could ever speak to animals. It was an absurd thought.

He could see a couple fighting before him, on such minor things. He leaned against the wall. There was just something about destruction that was so, so ever appealing.

“Did you cause that?” Sloane had overheard the commotion and had spied the man who so casually observed the couple. Most people would have already intervened. She knew a certain redhead who would stop fighting at all costs but Sloane on the other hand, fighting was her bread and butter. She leaned against the wall next to him.

“Please, let me go. I have no idea what you’re talking about!”

“Don’t lie to me. My men said they saw you in here. Return what you stole before I introduce you to my fists.”

“Yes, but if you touched my money, I’d be less hesitant to draw my blade on you and use it,” she responded with a small smile that said she was joking as well. Partially anyway. If a stranger where to go after what was hers, she wouldn’t hesitate to act. “And where have you been all these weeks?”

“Then I’ll be sure to draw my blade far quicker than you can.” Sloane was still teasing the other woman. She was good with a blade but not that good. At Pamela’s question, Sloane was hesitant and her smile faltered for the briefest of moments before she waved her hand nonchalantly as she turned the question back to Pamela. “Oh, I’ve been around. And yourself? Have you been in hiding?”

“Creativity! And art!” she said giving the woman a large smile before looking back to her page. “I am almost finished I promise you. Only another minute longer.” she said.

“When I came over here, I didn’t expect to be doing this.” Sloane exhaled slowly, indulging in the woman’s whims. She was growing soft and sentimental, she definitely was. “What are you going to do with it when you’re done?”
