Eye on the Milky Way : Have you ever had stars in your eyes? It appears that the eye on the left does, and moreover it appears to be gazing at even more stars. The featured 27-frame mosaic was taken last July from Ojas de Salar in the Atacama Desert of Chile. The eye is actually a small lagoon captured reflecting the dark night sky as the Milky Way Galaxy arched overhead. The seemingly smooth band of the Milky Way is really composed of billions of stars, but decorated with filaments of light-absorbing dust and red-glowing nebulas. Additionally, both Jupiter (slightly left the galactic arch) and Saturn (slightly to the right) are visible. The lights of small towns dot the unusual vertical horizon. The rocky terrain around the lagoon appears to some more like the surface of Mars than our Earth. via NASA

Grieving
Okay. Yes I had a few glasses of wine. Yes I was okay to drive home. Yes I have been up subtly crying for hours. My heart is so soft. It’s supposed to be. My heart breaks. For the lives I love that were lost before this day. My heart aches for you. Your family. Your loved ones. What the fuck. Gone way too soon. At this hour I think of you, I cherish our memories, and I grieve for you. You will never be forgotten. Your magic has touched me beyond words, beyond life, beyond memory. I love you all always. And send my love to your waking friends and family, for I know they need it. For you were taken too soon.

The feeling when you meet someone new and have a connection and you can’t stop thinking about them. Replaying the memories. Overthinking? Probably.
