Hi guys! Just a little intro post for everyone.

This is a confession blog, the point is to confess what you want anonymously, I don’t have many rules but I’m giving you fair warning about what I’ll just delete off the bat.

1. No hatespeech

This includes slurs, stereotypes about minorities, and calls for harm. I’m open to exceptions for some (e.g. reclaiming slurs) if you need to rant about something, as it’s typically quite obvious when people actually mean harm vs when they don’t.

2. NSFW asks are allowed

This is a heads up to minors on my blog. I find DNI’s to be useless because people aren’t reblogging straight from your blog, they’re just reblogging from the “tags you follow” or “following” dashboards. No one reads them half the time basically. A blanket ban on minors seems kind of stupid too imo, I don’t want you reading this stuff, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a curious 15 year old who lied about being 18+. Stay safe, lurk if you must but don’t interact. If you find a minor on my blog/interacting with NSFW posts ty for the heads up. I’ll block them for their own safety, but don’t judge NSFW posters for assuming in good faith that people will parent their kids.

3. Go nuts, throw nuts

The point of a confession blog is to confess things you wouldn’t post on your main, hell, or even your side blogs. If you’re proship confess, if you’re antiship confess. Poke beehives, start wars, idc, I’m not here to judge, I’m just here as a fandom anonymiser. The point is for me to get flamed on your behalf so that you can speak freely without having to worry about backlash. I don’t appreciate people making theories about who sent in what anon, so if I see those types of replies or reblogs you’re getting blocked.

4. Tags

I know some people like to sign their anons with things (e.g. I’ve seen “-🦈”). Please don’t try to impersonate each other, and please don’t steal tags from each other. This is mostly just for readability though, you don’t have to use them and no one will know who you are even if someone tries to hijack your tag. Tag hijackers just kinda look weird is all tbh

This probably sounds dumb but does anyone else remember a fic from fanfiction.net called "Eli's vampire plague"? There aren't many fics that I revisit after leaving a fandom but that one stuck in my head in the best way. It was so edgy and gory and fun, and it sucks that the author abandoned it almost a decade ago :(

I checked in during covid and recently to see if any miracles had happened but unfortunately no. I hope it stays up so that I can re-read it forever, it was such a comfort fic for me when I was 13-14 and at peak edge lol. Author, if you're out there, ilysm 💕💕

Not sure if its THAT much of a hot take but:

I genuinely believe Eli was intended to be a non-white protaganist. For starters his 3d render's skin tone is tan. The way lighting is done during the run of slugterra sometimes makes him look whiter than he actually is but when you colour pick from his official render he is tan. Then there is the concept art. If you look at some of the earliest concept art of the characters, specifically the one with Concept stage Eli on a horse mecha vs thin legged concept blakk, concept Eli has those specific type of eyes that we see slugterra use for its asian characters(like junjie) Also Slugterra was made at a time when it wasn't THAT unusual for kid's shows to try to add representation in the main cast(even if it was horribly done in some cases).

And now my end point: This fandom white washes him alot in alot of fanworks.

In response to that last person's post about ocs and some comments agreeing with it.

They're overreacting in my opinion.

If they're getting this upset that people are making characters they're passionate about because it takes them a bit longer to scroll and fine canon content. Unfortunately they can only really block the people making the oc content.

Because in every fandom on Tumblr. When they have an oc for the show, they are going to tag the show. And unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about it.

A-Sad-mage isn't spamming the Slugterra tag, they're just answering asks (canon or not). That's they're whole thing.

And everytime it is about ocs, there’s a tag to say it is. So if you don't like it. You don’t waste your time reading it.

So yeah, all the love to the ocs in the Slugterra community. They're really interesting to see. People shouldn't be spat on because they're not making "enough canon content."

When I was little I was really into the show. Like… REALLY into the show. To the point where I had convinced myself that slugs could velocimorph irl, so at recess in elementary school when I found a slug in the schoolyard I picked it up and told my friends to “watch this” and I just threw it at the fence full force. I still feel bad about it. I basically made my friends watch me splat a poor random slug that was minding its business. Im sorry I killed a slug mr mod

Not gonna name names, but I think there’s a point where some people stray so far from canon that their stuff doesn’t belong in the slugterra tag anymore. I love seeing everyone’s OC’s and fanslugs, but when you’re inventing new sentient species the line is being crossed from canon into AU, and that’s ok!!!!! But others (like a-sad-mage) recognise that their AU’s leave canon and shouldn’t spam the slugterra tag. In larger fandoms I wouldn’t mind because there’s so much fan content to consume but like…. having to scroll past a billion ask responses for 1) a guy who isn’t canon, and 2) a guy whose species ALSO doesn’t exist in canon, gets really tedious after a while. Not to mention how some of her stuff are literally AU’s and they still get shoved into the tag. Idk, I guess I just want more respect for the tagging system since it’s such a small community (large ones get a pass because there’s no way to control that many people after all)
