"Drownin' in the Blue Nile" Gwyns a river nymph and the Blue Nile is a holy river, gwyns a priestess, she doesn't wear her "holy" invoking stone so it could be like shes drowning in unworthiness/feeling unholy "My boredom's bone-deep This cage was once just fine" Cage= the library, if i was a writer id make the peak of gwyns arc 'completed' if she leaves the library- it would symbolise freedom and healing with the strength to go face the world, the library would be her "cage"- once fine with staying in the library but wanting to leave it. gwyn talks about leaving the library at one point too "I dream of crackin' locks Throwin' my life to the wolves or the ocean rocks" Cracking locks (her trauma) that binds her to fear and anxiety. Throwing her life away to the fears- or the 'wolves' that she battles with. Or even the ocean rocks, shes part river nymph and it wouldn't come as any surprise if she misses the water and the ocean.

"Crashin' into him tonight, he's a paradox" SELF EXPLANITORY- azriels literally a paradox of a person, gwyn 'crashes into him tonight'

"I'm seeing visions Am I bad or mad or wise?" Could be alluded to her trauma, visions of what happened and the self doubt that comes with it. "I keep recalling things we never did Messy top lip kiss, how I long for our trysts" Fantasies, as a self appointed smut reader...we know all about it gwyn ;) "Without ever touchin' his skin" THE POWER IN THIS- the importance of emotional intimacy before physical intimacy though?!? (Although for the song itself its just about horny fantasies so maybe i shouldnt think too deep into this one...) "How can I be guilty as sin?"

Firm believer of gwynriel friends to lovers and lets be honest it feels pretty sinful to think about your friend sexually- "What if the way you hold me is actually what's holy?" The holy way of holding somebody without the sexual physical aspects, the emotional way they have the power to hold each other up in both emotionally and mentally?!? Gwynriel.

"How i long for his tryst without ever touching my skin" BANG GWYNRIEL CODED its so important for gwyn and az to have that emotional intimacy (ik ive mentioned that word approx 2395728357 times) to understand each other and their inner workings before focusing on their bodies, for az, his hands/scars doesn't define who he is as a person and people need to SEE az for who he is, all his flaws and personality and quirks. For gwyn sex wouldn't be the first thing she focuses on (it COULD be) but after what shes been through i believe she'd focus on emotionally getting to know somebody fully, letting them see her soul, personality, who she is. And physically touching somebody doesn't have to be the first priority ESPECIALLY WITH GWYN AND AZ.

Thats when some thing goes wrong whether that be a villain finding the dread trove and sjm decides she can expand on the throne of glass universe! (Forgot where but she said in an interview she wanted to keeps the doors open and maybee write another throne of glass book this totally isnt my delusion talking..)

Or anybody into the idea of workers getting paid a livable wage - Half Price Books, which boasts of being the largest family-owned bookstore chain in the United States, has been extremely resistant in their contract negotiations with their employee union for 1.5 years now. This is after halving their staff post-pandemic and leaving the remaining to do double the work.

They are only willing to offer a 1% yearly wage increase and straight up told the union they CAN afford to pay them...but they WON'T. Because according to them, even employees who've been working for them for 5, 10, 20+ years are replaceable.

This is unacceptable. I call on anybody who lives in the States to sign this petition to put pressure on the CEO Sharon Anderson to pay her goddamn workers. Or even better, call the corporate number at 800-883-2114 to give them an earful.

One of the best sci-fi novels I've read in my life, and for the moment, my absolute favourite. The world-building was mind-blowing. The author makes the reader feel the horror of living in an apocalyptic society. PS. If you want to feel more horrified, the end of the world starts in 2020.

An Zhe, a tiny little mushroom, turns into a human. The way he slowly starts to understand human emotions is precious. And Lu Feng, oh, my coronel... 🤧 Their love story will make you cry.

I'll add this quote that symbolises the novel pretty well:

This is one of the best crime novels I've read in my life. I think I was wasted all of my braincells understanding the plot. [sighs] If only I was this intelligent with chemistry... Anyways, who cares about chemistry? We're here to talk about Mo Du.

What I love the most about this book is the way everything is connected at the end. You go, “Wow” when you finish it.

The couple dynamic is rivals-to-lovers (chef's kiss). When they start flirting with each other, ho, ho. 👀 And, guys, they have two cats sons!!!

Fake Slackers has such a happy vibe. ~ I was genuinely happy reading it. If you know me, you know, I'm, cough, a masochist and not that fond of fluff, but this one is one of those exceptions. ♡

I love He Zhao and Xie Yu soooooo much, and the whole classroom too. There were moments they made me laughed a lot.

If you're still in high school, go and read this novel; it will give you good advice. If you want to reminisce your days in school, read it too!

Ah, my first danmei novel. 🤧 I'm nostalgic. I remember I was so sad when I finished it because I thought I would never find a novel like this.

What can I say? This is a classic. The plot is incredible and so are the characters and the world-building. Lan Wangji remembered me what is like to fall in love with a fictional character. Lan-er-gege, I love you.

And Wei Wuxian, ah, I identified with him in a lot of things. HE'S FUCKING YILING LAZOU. MAD RESPECT. EVERYBODY KNEEL.

Wangxian is still one of my favourite couples, even after all this time.

I have to say that I didn't cry reading the novel, but I was torn down. But then, hahaha, I cried with every single adaptation. It's Xiao Xingchen's fault —I'm weak for the Yi City arc. The crying starts there.

Oh, this novel is such a ride. There are so many feelings. It questions “What is cultivation?,” “What is ascension?,” “How is ascension different from death?” Philosophical, isn't it? As expected from Priest.

A long time ago, I read a detective au. Andrew was a detective (cop?) and the foxes were in his precinct. Neil is his husband and also a mob boss (crime lord? criminal? idk, he’s involved with crime in some way). The foxes are curious about Andrew’s husband so they go over his house for “work” and Neil answers the door in boxers and a shirt (i think). He has one of the cats in his arms (the cat tried to run out of the house). One of them calls Andrew (it might be Neil) and Neil gives them what they came for. Later, when Neil goes to the precinct for whatever reason and he sees Dan (?) looking at some cases. He points out who did it and she looks at him and makes a joke about Neil trading information for not being reported as a criminal and Neil just looks at her and implies that that’s how Andrew solves all his cases. I don’t remember how it ends but i’m pretty sure (?) that it’s a one chapter fic part of a series. I NEED HELP. I DONT REMEMBER WHAT ITS CALLED. IM COUNTING ON YOU GUYS 🤞
