Remus’ Chocolate  Experience

So we all know about the headcanon where Sirius gets drunk, turns into a dog, and eats things that would kill a dog right? 

Well, boy do I have an addition to that for you!

Sirius is panicking because he has just learned that while he was plastered (and in the form of a dog) he managed to eat about 17 chocolate frogs from Remus’ stache and three clusters of Peter’s grapes. 

So Sirius is going on and on about how he is too young and beautiful to die. Peter is grabbing the tissues in an attempt to console Sirius. James is trying his best to not bust at the seams, and Remus is softly chuckling in the doorway. 

Turning to Remus, Sirius asks “Moony, you’re a dog too, will this kill me? Am I about to die?” 

A somber expression flashes over Remus’ face and is gone as quickly as it came. For Remus, that brief moment felt like an eternity. 

Remus is brought back to the evening before the full moon 4 years ago. The same day he tried to kill the beast inside him, knowing he would die with it. In a last-ditch attempt to avoid transforming and hurting more innocent people. 

“No, you’ll be sick for the next few days. Your stomach will be upset and you’ll run a fever. But nothing to bad. I’ll be sure to take care of you.” The thought of nurturing his best friend bringing Remus out of the hazy memory.

Feeling the warmth of his friend’s love, Remus smirked and said: “After all, we can’t let all that beauty go to waste.”
