Taurus season (C.B)(5.2.18)
Like no offense to my friends and family but if I had the chance to abandon this timeline for a medieval fantasy land I would absolutely do it, goodbye student loans and depression hello cool magic shit and most likely an early death by the sword (as it should be)
While you’re on a study break:
Paint your nails. Doesn’t matter if you’re good at it or not. It’s a quiet, calming, easy activity that takes up the perfect amount of time for a break and still requires some amount of focus. Put on a Youtube video or Netflix while you do it.
Watch a John Oliver video. If you don’t know him, he’s a comedian and host of Last Week Tonight on HBO. His pieces are hilarious, informative, and all around 15-20 minutes.
Change the sheets on your bed. Changing your sheets often is good for your skin, still technically productive, and who doesn’t love snuggling up in a fresh bed after a long day?
While you’re at it, clean your space. It’ll get you on your feet and again, still technically being productive.
Make yourself something to drink. I hate to be that blogger™ but Stay hydrated, loves! No energy drinks, if you need something more exciting. We are adults in this household, we get our caffeine like adults. Always go tea or coffee.
Take a nap. There are legends that if you drink a coffee before you take a nap, the caffeine will wake you up naturally a little bit later and you’ll feel super energized. That sounds fake but idk knock yourselves out.
Put on an RIP Vine compilation and dissociate for a bit. I’m not kidding.
Take a shower. Or just stand there under the hot water a bit. You’ll feel like a new being.
Know that you are a boss
Seriously
You got this and I believe in you
There’s a woman I want to be and until I reach that point, I have work to do.
I love my home so much :’)) Plus I was pretty productive today after watching movies all day yesterday 🌿🌱✨ how are you all doing??
a small reminder, for those who need it ⭐
hope your pets stay healthy in 2017
I almost didn’t blog this and felt guilty
Not risking it
hope ya pets even healthier in 2018
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
writing adult emails is awful
its like
hi [name of person],
this formatting is making me uncomfortable but I have to tell you something / ask you something that is vital to my career as a student.
I re-read and edited that sentence for an hour, but you’ll probably just glance over it for half a second.
thanks!

I have a stock format and structure I use.
Dear Person I am Writing To:
This is an optional sentence introducing who I am and work for, included if the addressee has never corresponded with me before. The second optional sentence reminds the person where we met, if relevant. This sentence states the purpose of the email.
This optional paragraph describes in more detail what’s needed. This sentence discusses relevant information like how soon an answer is needed, what kind of an answer is needed, and any information that the other person might find useful. If there’s a lot of information, it’s a good idea to separate this paragraph into two or three paragraphs to avoid having a Wall of Text.
If a description paragraph was used, close with a restatement of the initial request, in case the addressee ignored the opening paragraph.
This sentence is just a platitude (usually thanking them for their time) because people think I’m standoffish, unreasonably demanding, or cold if it’s not included.
Closing salutation,
Signature.
People always ask me how I can fire off work emails so quickly. Nobody has figured out yet that it’s the same email with the details changed as needed.
reblog to save a life holy shit
Just had to send one of these emails - why didn’t I see this before hand?!
my kink is people shutting the fuck up during lectures
anyone else feel like if someone had told teenage!you what your job or what you’re studying/researching/doing right now, you would’ve just laughed or scoffed or in general been incredulous.
and that just goes to show that things change; things will always change, and what you thought you couldn’t do or couldn’t be this year or this month or even today does not necessarily mean it’s forever written in stone.
so just keep at it. keep living.
hey guys - here’s my current desk setup 👩🏼💻 featuring my new duck egg clipboard filofax! 📒 i haven’t started using it yet - i have no idea what to put in it 🤷🏼♀️ does anyone have any ideas? 🎒
Sorry that I’ve been absent on here but I’ve been backpacking around Italy for the summer! Should be back to posting regularly soon though

1.20.17 // 4:39 pm •• these are my notes over the chapter for social inequality. I just finished them and I feel like this class is going to be really interesting and a good expansion on what I’ve learned in other classes.
