Hey all! Many of you know I run smashcards, where I post weekly flash cards about basic feminist / social justice concepts.
Well, lately I’ve been working on expanding my content with a series of short videos about particular topics, but I’m not sure where to squeeze these in to maximize viewership and exposure.
So far I’ve been posting the smashcards every Wednesday night at 10 mst, but building a followership based on the cards alone has been challenging (since the concepts themselves don’t usually invite conversation, even when they spread), so I’m not sure that time of day/day of week has made much of a difference.
The videos are a little more engaging and aimed at having an actual dialog about issues, so I’m thinking a little more seriously about scheduling. What’s the best day & time to post to ensure the greatest number of people have the chance to see the video?
I’m also fumbling a bit about what the right frequency is for the videos to post. Right now the smashcards are posted weekly, but making the videos is a more involved process and I don’t think I can commit to a weekly cadence. Is every two weeks or once a month too infrequent? How often should I post? And does the video go up in addition to that week’s card image, or instead of it?
I’d really appreciate some feedback on this! Please let me know what you think!
