Post TLG Shane and Ilya have to stay with Yuna and David for a few days because the repairs to the cottage weren’t finished by the time the season ended. The first night, Shane tries to initiate sex but Ilya shuts him down. Shane is worried that something is wrong but Ilya is like “You’re too loud, they’ll hear” and Shane spends the next 10 minutes trying to convince Ilya he’ll be quiet (“I’ll be quiet. I’ll suck on your fingers to keep quiet, Ilya.”). Meanwhile, down the hall, Yuna and David are having the exact same argument (“No, David. You’ve been so loud since Shane moved out. The boys will hear.” “…I can’t make noise if you sit on my face.”)

do you ever see word mistakes/swaps that don't make it into those typical "use this, not that" guides?

mine is leach / leak / leech

leach - chemicals can leach into the local water supply. rain can leach nutrients from the soil.

leak - the watter bottle leaked on the floor. I knew the CIA had a leak.

leech - the leeches leeched blood from her wound. that man makes his girlfriend buy everything for him, he's a leech.

I love using leach, and I get people correcting me trying to say I was using leech or leak. Nope!

here's why ilya has better handwriting than shane:

1. military family / strict af dad

2. russian schools in the 90s still had more emphasis on penmanship than in the west

3. children were often taught cursive from an early age & spent a lot of time copying text

4. i think it's cute. this is the no. 1 reason actually i think shanes should be legible but like a little uneven and very just like. straight spaced writing. i think ilya's is extremely pretty, slanted and curved and just gorgeous
