🕸BEHOLD MY BOY!!!🕸
after who knows how many months of puzzling out the geometry, running out of the right colors, & feeling like i'd NEVER be done making flower motifs, HERE HE IS!! in all his orange glory!!
the cutest, sweetest, most huggable spider in the WORLD!!! ✨️💖🕷💖✨️
his name is Arson 🔥🥰🔥
yesterday for my birthday i visited macclesfield silk museum which was fascinating.
these are some of the last hand operated jacquard looms producing silk cloth left in the uk that are still in use and i felt so lucky to go on a tour around the mill that is attached to the museum.
i also recieved many presents that i feel very lucky for.
this is jonty, a knitted froggy my sister got me. he is a scholar at oxford who enjoys going punting on the river in summer i have decided.
i got these tins and project bag from my auntie and they have emma ball's lovely illustrations on them and the highland coos have weaving behind them on the tins while the sheep have needle felting. my drop spindles do fit, very well (i believe knitting needles were intended to go in the bag) they are just sticking out for the aesthetics.
and then i got five books as well. the fleece and fibre sourcebook has been on my wishlist for a long time so i was over the moon to get it but the standout has to be this 1844 french clothing book. the illustrations are mostly taken from tapestries, manuscripts or carvings but the expressions are fantastic. i spent ages flicking through it and marvelling at the illustrations.
i had a fantastic day, despite my chronic illnesses trying to make walking hard and i cannot wait to use my new books and be stylish with my project bag.
We took the little Chanterelle camping and he was a good nap buddy.
Blueberry hat and crab, made for a friend's baby
[image description: photo of a blueberry shaped hat knitted in chunky yarn, and a soft orange knitted crab. the second photo is a closeup photo of just the crab. /end i.d.]
Most recent progress pic of my glorious loon sweater. It’s a little old, it has sleeves now!

do people post their knitting on tumblr? i hope they do!!! anyways, here's the 2 full jumpers I've made this year obsessed with both of them can't wait til it gets colder again and I can rock them
patterns both off ravelry and both free which is insane I'll reblog with links if I remember to lolzer
I finished my first ever felting project!! I love it. Can't wait to make more! The yarn is Fjallalopi from Ìstex and I can't say enough about how much I love this yarn. And it only took a week, which is much more satisfying than the month long projects I've been doing.
Movement nudge, for hands and wrists!

my next knitting projects will be focused on using up the yarn i already have, because my yarn drawer is full and im also spinning more...

New look for the tea shop!
The entrance is redecorated and I added a tea tasting table. The back and side walls are also new.
