8 years ago?! Yeah, that was my last post! Did life change? Barely much, same shits looping around and around like a spiral, deeper but surely will reach the destination someday!
Decisiveness still a virtue worth pursuing, mindfulness is needed wholly in every action.
A greatest friend has passed a year ago, life changes dramatically inside this lil headspace. Perhaps for the better.
Wall is erected high and wide, with only little window for the sun to shine in and whoever care enough to peep and communicate.
Is life forcing me to be a hermit, or am I a crab of a hermit? Either way it's comforting, maybe you should give it a try; life without socials.

Lockdown Week 8th
As days go by, feeling becomes numb.
Can't even see the sea or walk the beautiful coastal walk.
Damn, this is a peculiar time.
I'm missing my freedom.
How dare they said, the would give us some freedom.
It is our to begin with. RETURN OUR FREEDOM!!!
Digital Ethnocentric
Digital escapism has became the norm. Prosumers use social media to produce and consume bloated contents. Platforms become a place of feast, but the dishes are oversaturated.
Let’s find solace in self meditation, self growth.
Time to read and learn for the sake of self.
Dancing through the flow of harmony.
Or perhaps get lost for re-discovery.
Fallen between stars just to dream again.
Years gone by
It’s been a while since my last spontaneous writing in here! Life goes on, took a bit of peculiar turns here and there, and the mundanity of routine can easily make one heart goes cold or numb in a sense. Enthusiasm dries up, anxiety creeps and haunts like a ghost in the attic.
I’ve been having lots of thoughts lately. I’ve been living a life of comfort (all physical work with less stress only sore here, there and tiredness). Been in Sydney for 18 months +, doing all sort of things sydneysiders usually do. Hitting the bar, coastal walk, art gallery, contemplating, and thought that the best course for my life is getting a residency here. I went to church one or two times.
But at the end of the day, I’m still questioning, is this the life I want? Sometimes, it feels like living a life with no clear purpose or goal. Residency? It’s getting horrendously hard. And I don’t like losing any upper hand of my life.
A confidant of mine in Edinburgh said, “listen to your heart, it’s rarely wrong.” And my heart keeps on telling me to end this episode in Sydney and start a new chapter back in Indonesia. But then again, life in Indonesia could be a chaotic mess. Perhaps there is a harmony in chaos, all I need to do is maybe listen to the noises and make peace inside me while conquering my dream?
Am I ready for it yet?
One more value that I long to have is decisiveness. I might need it when my time to rule the world is up. Winston Churchill, Soekarno, Abe, all great leaders have it.
Then out spake brave Horatius, The Captain of the Gate: "To every man upon this earth death cometh soon or late. And how can man die better than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods"
Autumn is the second spring where leaves turn into shades of yellow and red, blossoming then withering just in days. Out of the sudden the air becomes crisp, and a snap in the atmosphere announces that autumn is coming. The wind brings memories along with its coldness.
It was autumn when I first came here. Like embracing new culture and landscape, I was filled with this excitement of living almost ten thousand miles away from my tropical country. This was the season that introduced me to Edina and all her beauty.Â
I am easily associated things with smell and taste. The pure bodywash that I first bought smell autumn. Negroni is a glass of autumn, crisp and strong. An die Freude, though this was written in summer day, and later composed by Beethoven, is the melody of my autumn. Le Marche Francais is the autumn cafe with its hearty dishes.
I feel poignant in this autumn. Perhaps The Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki is the cause. Or simply a day parting with Edina is drawing near. Or maybe I am not ready to end the cycle and start a new spring of life again. I am trap in this sentimental mood and make it my company over a cup of tea and good read.
Edina has taught me lessons otherwise I could never have learned, given me experiences that help my soul grows. I didn’t say it was easy, heck no! but in the end I know myself better, how to reach the goal in mind, how to escape from the haunt of depression and to enjoy solitary. In some sense how to overcome things when all I can count is myself, and perhaps the invisible God.
I will treasure so many things that has crossed path with me in Edina, the views, the vegetation, the heritages, the stories, the smell, the taste, and the somewhat intimate connection. It’s truly is a home away from home.
We set our eyes on things above, things that are of Christ.
Sheepishly Sheep
Sheep is basically a purely stupid animal. I observed couple of them here, how they act and react. Very vulnerable animal and easy to fool. But there's something about pureness of sheep, and even the stupidity kinda remind me of human life. I started to understand a bit better about the analogy of the Lord as a Sheperd. Need to live in an extend of Shepherd and sheep relationship. Complete dependant.

Galatians 1:10
From time to time, it’s easy for me to subconsciously slip into desiring the approval of people more than I ought, and when I find myself putting that desire before my longing to please, and more importantly, love God — I realize I need a wake up call. When I acknowledge this and take action, it becomes so evidently clear that Jesus is unfathomably more satisfying and fulfilling than anything this world can offer, and thus I become so overwhelmed by the grace and glory of God, I can barely breathe. It is then I sense the Holy Spirit at work in my heart and I feel an immense joy so pure and beautifully satisfying, I am left speechless. By the knowledge that Christ loved you and I before we drew our first breaths, I cannot even describe how rewarding it is to love Him in return.
Moon River, wider than a mile, I’m crossing you in style some day….
Auld Lang Syne!
It was a dang good year! Unexpected journey of hope and faith which was filled by the favor of Good Lord. It started with some turmoil, but ended me up on one of the seven hills in Edinburgh.
New friends, new continent, new life! When I arrived, I hadn’t eat any rice for a month. Travelling to Manchester and London on a night bus (cost efficient). Getting used to the uplifting bagpipes music! Watching telly! Walked in the first snowstorm with excitement. Feel like a little boy in a big playground with countless new experience!
The precious lessons for me in this year: 1. It’s never about money. 2. Whatever comes in mind, bring into prayer. “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” - Heb 4:16 3. Don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith! Well worth it!
I tried to write this parting in a jolly manner to show that God is good all the time is not just a saying but an infinite truth of life. He surely makes a way when there seems to be none.
My resolution in 2015: be a gentleman and be a blessing to others.
