HAPPY BIRTHDAY WRIOTHESLEY! 🎉🐺🎂

Hi! This illustratrion of Wriothesley is still one of my favourites I’ve ever made; I was inspired by one of his Serenity teapot voicelines, where he talks about wanting to lie down in the grass 🌿🌾 I had some troubles with the background, since it was one of my first times working with gouache on a larger scale, but eventually it all came together! 😊

The land whence I hail ❄️🏔️

I made this drawing inspired by Flins's "When it snows" voiceline; Each time the snow falls, that is the call of Snezhnaya — the land whence I hail.

Personally, I've always dreamt of one day seeing the Northern lights in person and since it's been mentioned that the Auroras in Snezhnaya are quite beautiful, I really wanted to include the phenomenon in my illustration above the snow capped peaks of Snezhnaya 🌌

I'm really excited that we're finally going to Snezhnaya in August and I can't wait to see how all the beautiful environments will look when we'll finally be able to see them in-game! And of course I really hope that the Aurora Borealis will be incorporated too 💜

Moss ☘️

Hi everyone, it's been some time since I last posted but I really wanted to share this one with you!

As someone who's often inspired by nature, the textures and colours of moss really fascinate me 😊 so when I saw a beautiful photo of it I just had to make something based on it!

I decided to use gouache again since this was a drawing which I felt should be loose and maybe even a bit messy and that fits really well with that medium 🎨 Also, the bright colours which are easily achievable with gouache fit perfectly 🧡

I was so excited when I heard that the recordings of the full Eras show (including TTPD) were coming to Disney plus, since that was the version of the show which I also saw in Amsterdam last year! I can't wait to watch it and remember the wonderful time I had at the Eras tour back then 💗

Peonies and some sketches 💐

Hi friends! I really love the thick structure of gouache paint on a painting, but I'm still quite a beginner at it. However, this painting worked out really well and I'm very proud of it! 😊

I really wanted to make the peonies stand out against a black background even though I knew it might blend with the foreground, but I'm happy I took that risk because I really like the stark contrast between the light and dark colours 💗

Pitch-Dark Hook the Great 🔥🧸

Hi friends! I don’t really play Honkai Starrail anymore, but I still really like this drawing of Hook I once did 😊 You might recognise it, as I’ve also used it as my profile picture on Instagram for a while 🧡

I usually don’t really work with such warm, vibrant colours in character illustrations, but I’m glad it worked out this well!

Durin 🐉

Hi friends! I can’t believe it’s already December, but tomorrow Durin will be released as a playable character in Genshin Impact and as a little good luck ritual I wanted to draw him (and also just because he’s very cute 💜).

I almost have enough pulls saved to have him guaranteed, so I really can't wait for tomorrow 😊 (and if he doesn't come home, I know I'll get enough fates to guarantee him before his banner ends!)

Cloud studies ⛅

Hi friends! These cloud studies were one of my first times I used Himi goache (or gouache in general) and I was really struggling with the appliance of the wet layers on the dry ones, and how they would mix if I applied just a bit too much water 😅

Eventually I figured out that if I just kept the brush itself a little wet, but added water to the paint instead, that that would work a lot better.

I haven’t used it in a while, though, so I’d really like to use it again soon (and maybe I’d have even better results this time!) 🎨

What’s an art meduim that you’d like to try (again)? Or do you have any gouache related advice? I’d love to hear in the comments 💗and I hope you’ll have a nice day! ☀️

Hi friends! Just a quick marker study for today 😊 I've always loved the way some painters are able to show lighting in their works, and I've always wanted to learn how to do that myself! So lately I've been doing quite a lot of studies to experiment with it ☀️

Cat with cherry trees 🌸🐈

Hi friends! I made this illustration in spring this year after I visited the cherry blossom park in "Het Amsterdamse bos"(literally translated the Amsterdam forest) with my mom. It was so magical to see the petals floating by in the air, and the weather was just perfect for a picknick there! 😊 So this drawing is very inspired by that. The colours are so satisfying together and I love cats and cherry trees in general, so it was very nice to be able to combine that into one drawing 💗 and I hope you’ll like it!

Diluc 🔥🦅

Hi friends! This traditional drawing of Diluc was originally made as a quick birthday illustration, but I wasn't really satisfied with it. I wanted to add a background, but I was also afraid to ruin it after all this time 😅 so I made a digital background instead.

I really love how effortlessly you can add glow effects digitally, even though I'd also like to get better at adding such effects with traditional media ✨ Anyways, I hope you'll like this little illustration and I hope you'll have a nice day ☀️

Waterlilies and forest studies 🪷🌳

Hi friends! Ever since my visit to Musee D'Orsay and Monet's garden in June I've wanted to create something inspired by his waterlilies ✨ The lilies themselves were not that hard, but it was definitely a challenge to make the water look like a translucent, reflective surface with my markers, but I think it worked out well! 😊

Hi everyone! I managed to get Flins with 2 constellations on his banner and I've really been enjoying his play style and his design and interactions as well!

So obviously I wanted to draw some kind of illustration of him for his birthday, which is today on Halloween 🎃

However, I had so much trouble with deciding on how I wanted to depict him that I ended up only having time for a simple illustration 😅

Vulcano landscape study 🌋

Hi everyone! I usually have a bit of a hard time when I'm working on landscape illustrations, so I've been making small studies to be able to challenge myself without getting lost in the details and I really like the way this one worked out!

In hindsight I could have defined the trees in the foreground a little more to create a clear divide between the foreground, middle and background, but at the same time I think the fact that the most detail is on the volcano also helps to lead the eye there.

Do you enjoy doing landscape studies? Or do you prefer drawing people instead?
