[ Side note; As a child, Anna did not know a lot of English, there for I will use Google Translate for the next three days. Not for everything, of course, she does know a little bit of English and she can understand it. ]
{✄} — Some rather loud sobbing could be heard. Nothing could possibly be more heart breaking than a sobbing child, now could there? If what was so, then why was no one even paying any mind to her? Lost with no idea where to go, confused with no one giving her any answers, everything looked so different than the day before and no one even seemed to remember her. In fact, she had even tried to go to school this morning, and after having a really hard time asking the principle which class she belonged to (a really hard time), she was told that she wasn’t even enrolled there.
Not that going to school was any of her concern. Not yet at least. But her father was the one who insisted that, because they moved to an English-speaking country, she should at least do her best and attend an English-speaking school. She was supposed to go to school today, or at least she thought she was. However, the thing that had set her off the most was the fact that her father was no where to be found. This morning, when she managed to waddle her way out of her room, she was greeted not by her father, but a very loud-barking dog. She didn’t even know since she got a dog, so she assumed it was a gift left for her. And of course, she spent exactly thirty-nine minutes playing with that puppy, but not once did her dad come out of his room. Not even to scold her for the loud racket she was making, or for the fact that she would have been late for school. She had wondered if he had been at work already, which was a very rare occurrence on its own.
The moment she left her home (which looked much different than she remembered) everything went downhill from there. Firstly, she didn’t even know where her school was. She was able to ask around (although she had been rather nervous at first, but she eventually got the hang of it), but the poor seven year old girl was rejected. Possibly she went to the wrong school. But even so, after that, the little one had found herself a bit lost. Well, actually, completely lost. The little blonde wished she at least brought the little dog with her so she wouldn’t be alone. Why wasn’t her father home, why didn’t he take her to school, where was he?
And that brings us to where we are now, poor little Annabel, in a strange place, with people speaking a language quite strange from her own, hunching over and hiding her face in her knees which she was hugging. People might have thought of her as a crybaby, but she had every right to be. She had no idea what to do and no idea how to get home. People looked so scary so she couldn’t dare approached them. But really, where was her dad when she needed him most? She didn’t care if she got scolded for crying in public, she just wanted to be home.
