Con Hour: Top 10 Letdown Albums of 2013
I do not hate these records. Well at least most of them. Acting as the anti-thesis of my previously posted list, this list of albums is what I was letdown by for all the reasons listed below. I’m excited that it is now 2014 which only means I get to make this list of my top 10 albums of the year! This list is for my top 10 releases of this year, EP’s included along with LP’s. The only criteria is that the album had to be released in 2013 as this list would’ve been a lot harder to create if I included things I finally got around to this year. North High Saxons!
We're coming for you. This Saturday, at North High School in Torrance California, we'll be playing for Acoustic Shuffle. We did this last year and it was a solid time. Probably gave too many free tshirts away. oh well.
We're going old school. This saturday is going to be Alex and Vincent only as Anthony and our bass player, Ryan, are out of town. Nonetheless, come support and get our CD for free. We gave a lot out at Cerritos and we intend to do this saturday this weekend.

We're going to be at Cerritos High School's 7th Annual Rock4Relief for their Antidote International chapter this Friday, January 18th, 2013. We can't be more excited for this show as there might be a big surprise for everyone that attends.
Show starts at 6:30PM so get there early. this shit is always packed so get your tickets whenever you can. They are gonna be $8 Presale and $10 at the door. We are playing at Providence High School Key Club's event in support of the Eliminate Project this Friday, December 7th 2012. Tickets are $5 Presale/$7 at the door.
Show starts at 6:30PM until 8:30PM. We playing last so come see us play our full set, something we're really blessed to be able to do.

I understand that many of our few followers here are in high school and are choosing what they want to do in college or with their lives. You might be in college already, but nonetheless:
Don't do just what your parents want you to do. Don't just go to school because it's something your friends are doing or because of a significant. Don't go because people say college is the best four years of your life. Don't go because it is what is what a high school graduate is supposed to do. Don't be ashamed of your community college path. Don't think you have to go to school right away or at all. Find whether it is what you want and need. There is no force that should be stronger than what you love and truly honestly care about in your life. Kelvin Fang, who i greatly admire, goes to CalTech and finds unending joy in computer science. He's only 21 and he's on the track to receiving his Phd by his 26th birthday. He's amazing. My friend, Tony Banik (check out his work here and here, has been passionate about computers and animation since he was in 7th and he has been sure of his career and what he's going to do with his life. He's only a Junior in college and he's going to leave after this semester to work full-time at a production company to work as a member of the staff. He knows what he needs and is happy with working his ass off for it.
Don't do anything without passion. Don't do anything without keeping honest with yourself and without expelling honesty into the world. There are certain inevitables that you will have to endure: Honest hard work, Sacrifice, and Weakness. Everything you do needs offering of 10,000 hours, your blood, your sweat, and your tears. But because of those inevitables, make sure it is something you are 100% passionate about and you will find yourself in a good place. It takes some of us a matter of months to find our place and it might take years, decades even. But find all that makes you happy and confident and strong and worthy and honesty and self-sustaining and selfless and just the truest version of yourself and do it wholeheartedly. It will be hard and it will be a long process for many of us (that are gifted with perseverance, not just talent).
Live every day with Integrity, Honesty, Diligence, Humility. Love your family and friends and those who help you. Be polite and be strong. Don't let any excuse, regret, shitty friend or friends, rumors, public image, facebook or social media come in the way of your own life's stability, happiness, and success. I know most of you and you are all capable.
