Assigning cupcakes I've baked this summer to all the Ghost frontmen, why, and their reactions. These cupcakes are not only what I think would be their favorite, but also what represent them the best:
Primo: Black velvet cupcakes with raspberry filling. Very goth cupcakes and if eaten unelegantly the raspberry sauce looks like you have blood on your face. He likes that they're barely sweet and quite chocolate-y yet with a touch of fruit, but he doesn't care about sweets. The bloody look is the main appeal for him.
Secondo: Snickers Cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. I know a man who likes peanut butter when I see one. Secondo could care less about the caramel inside, their appearance, my lazy ass putting Reese's Pieces on top (because all peanut butter candies are the same in my mind), and how many calories they might contain. He licked the peanut butter frosting off before finishing the peanut butter/chocolate cake in two bites.
Terzo: Salted Caramel Cupcakes. Like Terzo, these are crowd pleasers and particular. These cupcakes require you to run the risk of over mixing three times over and make caramel frosting. They're chewy and dense at the same time, Terzo and I are not science minded enough to understand how that's possible but its delightful anyway. I think Terzo would especially appreciate the floral icing job and gold metallic wrappers.
Copia: Chai Latte Cupcakes. While I don't think Copia is a tea guy, he is a huge fall fan. Nothing screams fall more than a chai latte cupcake (even if you're eating it in June). If he had social media there'd be a picture of one of these admittedly ugly cupcakes with some cheesey fall lover caption underneath. I think he'd appreciate the lightly spiced vanilla whipped buttercream more than he lets on, after all whipped buttercream is a step away from whipped cream. He doesn't care that they're very dense, he's a representative of dense cake.
Perpetua: Snickerdoodle Cupcakes. These are my favorite because they combine the chewiness of a snickerdoodle, crunch of cinnamon sugar, and airiness of a cupcake. He would enjoy this peculiar juxtaposition and can't get enough of the cinnamon sugar. While I consider Chai cupcakes to be fall based, for whatever reason snickerdoodles remind me of Halloween, so these are Halloween cupcakes to me, and Perpetua is definitely a Halloween guy. His one note is that he wishes they were purple and could stain his mouth purple.
Bonus:
Mary Goore is anti cupcake for no particular reason and would instead prefer German Chocolate Cake. He finds the name ironic and thus perfect for his dessert rebellion. All german chocolate cake is kinda ugly and kinda beautiful at the same time, like his music.
The ghouls would lick every bowl clean as soon as it hit the sink.
WHERE in Europe??!? WHERE??? You mean Iceland?? Azerbaijan? The Netherlands? Liechtenstein???? THERE ARE 50 COUNTRIES IN EUROPE. ALL WITH DIFFERENT CULTURES. SO PRAY TELL ME, WHERE IN FUCKING EUROPE.
