Hi there friends! Unfortunately I've been struggling with a painful nerve condition that causes me to faint quite a bit. I've been dealing with this for a long time now and this Disability Pride month I've decided to open up semi-emergency commissions in order to afford a mobility aid!

More about that under the cut- But first! The commissions!

I'm opening general digital art commissions for 10$ to 20$

I'm open to drawing just about anything, Including NSFW, furry, anime, realism, gore, etc. Fair warning though, I'm most practiced with Anime and Realism, so Sci-fi and Mechs are a bit out of my wheelhouse. As of November last year I've been in relapse for Pseudo-Tumor Cerebri. Meaning this is likely going to be a condition I'll have for the rest of my life. Pseudo-Tumor Cerebri (also known as IIH) is when your spinal cord over produces fluid and puts lots of extra pressure on the brain. There is no known cause and no known cure. Only meds and then hopefully the body corrects itself and goes back to normal (which sometimes it does. for others... it doesnt).

The meds have their own host of side effects, such as essentially giving me a fainting disorder, blood-pressure issues, among other things. In additon I've been dealing with issue of immense flare-ups of nerve pain with seizure-like episodes, and what my neurologist has described as "POTS-like" symptoms (we're working on ruling that out but its a whole process with more specialists and medical bills).

A cheap, portable wheelchair would greatly increase my ability to move about the world and get to appointments with less pain. And if I'm being wishful, I'd like to be able to go to the zoo for my birthday without risk of fainting.

Tressyms are believed to be the creation of wizard experimentation. They're described as more intelligent than the average house cat, but not quite human level intelligent. This one however, on account of being orange, only gets two brain cells. Still more intelligent than it's orange cat cousins.

I'm sorry this one took so long. I had another completed painting I just wasn't happy with. So I completely started over from scratch.

I think those posts celebrating what The Human Animal can do are wonderful, but oh boy do they make me feel dysphoric. Humans are neat and it's cool that humans can sing and dance and throw things real good; I should not be able to do those things and the reminder I can is deeply uncomfortable.

I really enjoy when alterhumans talk about the less "pretty" side of being a therian/alterhuman, and i think they should do that more. Like instincts and the "ugly" stuff, or like how species dysphoria affects them and their life.

It's always super interesting hearing about that kind of stuff, and it can be super relatable. It's nice hearing that others experience the same thing.

I did some napkin math on the kilowatts it takes to run a human when you convert over from calories and 2000 calories a day is 2.326 kWh, or roughly a Jackery HomePower 3000 a day, and when you look at the stored energy in a typical person, i.e. stored as fat, I at least was kind of horrified and wondered why people aren't near constantly on fire, and then remembered that we're technically combustion engine, so we kind of are, begrudgingly, just not in a way that harms us.

The only time I like exercising is when it’s for something else, like I’ll go geocaching for a nice walk, but a treadmill is the worst thing ever. It feels like imposter syndrome though, border collies are supposed to be these high energy dogs and I’m just… not

Remember, dogs are more then their Breed. Not every dog is gonna be a perfect carbon copy of the Breed Standard. They're living beings. Each one will be unique and have their own personality. That includes you :)

High energy doesnt just mean Athletics too! It means enjoying puzzles. It means highly sociable. Its about the amount of energy the human partner needs to put into the dogs enrichment.

Also, Are Border Collies generally high energy? Sure! But that doesnt mean there arent one's that are low energy.

You are your own unique dog. With your own personality. Youre not an imposter for being your own person. :)

This really means a lot, I am a sucker for puzzles and the more mental energy connects with my inattentive adhd a lot more lmao. I guess I somehow forgot there’s not a copy paste mold for everyone (idk how, I’m the bit of play-doh outside the cookie cutter) so it really is nice to get a reality check

Its honestly a pretty common Therian experiance. Its common for people to get tunnel vision on whats "typical" for their theriotypes that they forget that there isnt one "correct" way to be your theriotype :)

I know that personally, with my autism/ARFID I dont/cant eat a similar diet to my theriotypes. Which makes me feel kinda like an imposter 😅

But then I remember that my cat companions even get picky about their food and have their own likes and dislikes!!
