Hi chat, life is wild rn. I kinda wanna put a rant dump here about everything that has happened this year.

ANYWAYS. started the new year off strong with getting Covid for the first fucking time since the panini started. Then I started a new job around the same time. It is a job is pretty much all I can say there. Im still there lol. I went to see Hozier in concert again in May which was nice. Love that man. My baby, Angel, got sick in june and sadly passed away in july. I still think of here everyday. I got a tattoo in her honor. I started learning Korean, its both easier and harder than learning Japanese. I started talking to this dude too but it isnt going anywhere (and im a okay with that)

still not sure if im someone who is ready to date at all. I still have so much fuckin anxiety even being on meds. I know im gonna need therapy probably at some point regarding that. Case in point a not really my ex ex dmed me asking how i was doing after like a year of silence lol. Shit caused me a mini anxiety attack before i was just dead curious. The relationship we had wasnt bad at all, we ended on fine terms. But the mutual friends was where I decided to dip. Treated me like crap lmao. 25 has been a strange one for sure.

So like yeah, fuck ao3 for being zionist pos and for their racism, but ion think coming after the company for the things they allow on an archive is a good argument. Yeah there is sketchy shit on there and those people who write it should be on some kind of list, but for fucksake use the tags.

Maybe ao3 needs to be better about taking down things that arent tagged properly butyall, there is better way to criticize them.

Tl:dr; We asked for 2¢ on the streaming dollar. ...They said "Nope, can't afford it." ...As we say in New York: "...Yeah, no."

Time to take a stand. Not just for ourselves, but also for the writers who'll come after us... and who, unless we draw a line in the sand here, will never make enough to establish even middle-income careers.

*The people who, when we proposed that we should have a guarantee of a paid second-draft rewrite on scripts instead of the too-routine demand for multiple "free tweaks", refused to even consider it—but suggested they were willing to do a meeting to educate execs on why screenwriters don't want to work for free. (...DUH.)
