so i've been looking for my tablet to draw for like,, a little more than a week? mayyyybe a month?? and i'm moving rooms to a bigger one so today i had to take my desk apart to move it and once i did, lo and behold: my tablet had slipped and fallen behind the drawers and inside the desk. it's been there all this time TOT

great thing about malevolent is how Arthur is a man SO afraid of intimacy and connection. He married Bella out of obligation without truly loving her, neglected Faroe, pushed away Daniel, kept Parker at arm's length. He only maintained a partnership with Parker at all because Parker never pushed and only skirted around addressing any of Arthurs obvious Issues™. King of avoidant attachment!

and then John gets stuck in his head. 24/7 non-stop inescapable companionship with an entity with zero emotional maturity initially. and John PUSHES. He challenges Arthur's decisions, asks about things Arthur doesn't talk about, explicitly states how he feels and what he wants, tells Arthur exactly what he thinks. There's no room for Arthur's usual bullshit, no possibility of running away or isolating himself and when Arthur falls back on being an absolute asshole to keep everyone away, John gives as good as he gets until Arthur has to give it up and be vulnerable with him. hello my favorite people.

as you have probably deduced (because you all are so so smart), this is a fanfiction announcement hehe. i’ve wanted an excuse to write a farm/southern small town au fanfiction with one of the boys, so when i got this in my inbox, i kind of threw everything else into the fire and decided i’m finally gonna follow through. thank you to the anon who sent this in, because i immediately sent it to my friends and told them to brace themselves because i’m about to be insufferable.

so, please, let me introduce my baby for the past month:

you don’t even want to know what my notes app looks like after plotting this one. but trust and know i’m pushing my comfort zones with this one (yea that does mean angst everyone sound the alarms), and i’m very excited to share this story with you all!!!!!!

now, i know lots of you are going to have questions about seven minutes in heaven or other things i’m working on, and let me settle your worries! i fully intend to write parts for other characters for 7MIH, but i wanted to take an opportunity to write and post an actual story from start to finish. i will absolutely be posting other things in between, but for now, i want this fic to be my main focus!

i intend to post the masterlist and first chapter by next week, but i will keep everyone updated!
