Maha and her family previously had a verified GFM to pay for basic necessities like food, medical care, and some form of shelter. Horrifically, the person running their former GFM has stolen from them and hijacked their campaign.
Below is Mahaās new GFM. Her previous GFM was vetted by el-shab-hussein and nabulsi on their vetted campaign master list, on line 163.

Maha has been hospitalized due to serious complications from an infected tooth. She is particularly vulnerable to this type of infection, which almost killed her last year. Thankfully her husband has returned from Egypt, but both he and Maha are unable to work and thus cannot pay for her hospital bills. They are over $1,500 usd in debt for her treatment and Maha is about to be kicked out of the hospital.
As I said, last year a very similar infection almost took Mahaās life. If she is expelled from the hospital, a worsened infection is an inevitability. She still has a high fever and needs to remain hospitalized. PLEASE help her continue life-saving treatment!!

Iām making my first corsets(I decided to do 1890ās and an edwardian one at the same time would be a gppd idea). So far, the mock-ups were easy fits; I didnāt have to make adjustments. However, I get to do all of this on hard mode because I need to figure out how to make a structurally sound hole where my gj tube is, so it can stick out. It canāt go under because the compression from the corset would hurt it. Iām determined to make it work, and still be able to where a structurally sound, but accessible corset at the end. Iāve decided I canāt really deal with it until itās boned; though, because I wonāt know where the fabric sits over the tube until then. Iām thinking of reinforcing the hole with binding, and maybe some cording? Idk, Iām doing a lot of guessing lol
I've seen a bunch of "fandom etiquette" posts on my dash today and I'm going to say something that is maybe going to be unpopular but;
The absolutely pervasive mentality that unwanted criticism or critique shouldn't be given and should be ignored is why fans of color don't stay in fan spaces.
And I am not going to mince words here:
A lot of you are racist. A lot of your fan works are racist.
That might have been difficult to hear. And if it was, you should probably reflect on why that was.
"Fandom etiquette" has created a space where fans of color either bite our tongues and eventually leave or say something, get dogged on, and then eventually leave.
So much of "fandom etiquette" seems to be about insulating creatives from Feeling Bad and hostility to any kind of negative feedback is a pretty big contributor to why bigotry festers in these spaces.
#imo the potluck analogy applies- it would be rude to critique someone's icing technique at a potluck bc it wasn't as good as at the bakery #but if they had decorated their cupcakes w hate symbols it wouldn't be rude to tell them that's gross and gtfo #in fact it would be inappropriate to NOT say anything in that situation #or to complain that another guest who did point it out was 'ruining everyone's potluck' #and pointing out racism in fan works is 100% the second thing not the first! POINT OF NO RETURN!! CHILD NEAR DEATH!! PLEASE HELP!!
6-year-old Souad has been anemic since birth, and starvation and disease due to the IOF assault have caused her severe additional health complications. In September she fell unconscious and was admitted to the hospital. She has since been comatose and fluid is building up around her brain.
Medical staff have worked very hard to reduce the swelling. But despite their efforts, Souad's brain is now hemorrhaging (bleeding). The swelling has been too persistent, and the pressure is rapidly bursting the cells of her brain, causing bleeding. This will kill her. Little Souad is dying.
She needs to be evacuated outside of Gaza, but this is extremely expensive. The cost for transport through the Egyptian border, medical care, and associated expenses comes to $6,000 usd, about ā¬5,000 EUR. This is a devastating setback, but all we can do is push forward.
PLEASE HELP US #SaveSouad!!!

š My Motherās Life Depends on Your Kindness
My mother is in Gaza, where every day is a struggle to survive. Some time ago, she was injured when shrapnel from nearby shelling struck her back. She tried to endure the pain for as long as she could, but her condition has become much worse.
Today, my mother is in critical condition. She suffers from unbearable back pain, extreme exhaustion, and her suffering is increasing with every passing day.
After examining her, the doctors told us that she urgently needs emergency back surgery. They warned us that delaying the operation could lead to serious complications and further deterioration of her condition.
The cost of this life-saving surgery is $1,000.
Thanks to the kindness of generous people, we have managed to raise only $188 so far. While we are deeply grateful for every donation, we still need $812 to reach the goal.
For my family, trapped in the devastating conditions in Gaza, raising this amount alone is simply impossible. Every day we wait means more pain for my mother and more fear that her condition will become irreversible.
Iam begging you from the bottom of my heart: please help us save my mother.
Every donation no matter how small brings us closer to giving her the urgent surgery she desperately needs. And if you cannot donate, please share this post with your friends and family. Your share could reach someone who is able to help.
Please donāt let my motherās pain continue because we couldnāt raise the remaining $812 in time.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your compassion. ā¤ļøš
I'm Youssef from Gaza, and I'm facing extremely difficult circumstances after my home was destroyed in the war. I have three young children, Lana, Aboud, and Adam, who have been deprived of their right to education and play, and have endured unspeakable hardships.
Now we're living in a tent and facing a severe shortage of basic necessities. I lost my job, and the lack of hope seems to be robbing us of a life of dignity. Amidst this suffering, I've launched a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, and I need your help to reach my goal.
I'm reaching out to you all and asking for your contribution, even a small amount, whether it's £20, £30, £50, or even £100. Every donation will have a profound impact on our lives and will help us rebuild a better future for my children.
Don't leave our children alone in this ordeal. Every little bit of help will make a big difference.

In this scorching summer, our tent has become an unbearable place to live. The suffocating heat fills it throughout the day, leaving us with no shade to protect us and no breeze to bring relief. When night falls, another struggle begins as rats and insects spread throughout the tent, stealing our children's sleep and filling their hearts with fear. Every day, we endure the relentless summer heat and the dangers of these harsh conditions. All we hope for is a safe shelter that preserves our dignity and gives our children the chance to live in safety.

She needs to be evacuated outside of Gaza, but this is extremely expensive. However, in addition to the high cost of the medical evacuation, her family is also forced to pay high medical fees to the private hospital which is caring for her. It is the only facility in Gaza with the capacity to slow the deterioration of her condition, and these bills must be paid for her to live long enough for evacuation. We are now raising funds to both support Suadās immediate life-sustaining care, AND eventual medical evacuation.

I notice alot of my followers on here skipping these posts just to mess with my lgbt ones, suspiciously the white popular ones.
Heres a not so friendly reminder, as an lgbt metis person, i dont give a single fuck what your blog is themed or if this is too painful for you to look at. Reblog this post. Reblog this post with the sources of the 751 children who were found.
Your compliance and silence as well as the compliance and silence of your ancestors is what allowed these schools to open and kill first nations children. The children of MY people.
Dont follow me if you cant reblog this post or the one with sources to your political blog or your most popular blog. Add trigger warnings if you must but if your political blog is only focused on the harms you personally face like being lgbt then you need to see some bigger pictures and stop being afraid of angering your racist mutural or actually saying some shit about racism. If you can reblog some antifa graphics or add blm to your bio to be a surface level ally, you can reblog some sources on the genocide first nations people faced and still face today.
Iād like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldnāt have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how āgreatā they were.
Hereās another photo of the legislative assembly from yesterday. Later on there were more items, candles and signs at the memorial, as well as a big poster with 1505 painted on it but I didnāt get a picture
People need to see this. Not just quickly glance at the photos and keep on scrolling. They need to see this.
I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.
I went to a āCancel Canada Dayā event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.
This is my countryās legacy - and itās not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.
They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my countryās attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for godās sake.
here you can read an article about a survivor of the church and some of the things he experienced to help put into perspective how awful and just how recent it was
