wHY IS THE DELETE BUTTON WHERE A SAVE BUTTON WOULD BE
"Do I know you?" Arthur asked the man, blinking vaguely. Scales still ran up the side of his face, but he'd much better managed the transforming, and held tight to his 'human form'. "You seemed familiar." But not in a good way. Arthur was on the defense.
"Familiar, my good man?" The other asked, a smile coming to his hidden face. "Just what has driven the snake man from your body? I am but a curious man, after all." The hair shifted about from afront of the man's face, showing piercing golden eyes.
He pulled himself over, out of the nest, but his tail had wrapped around one of the large eggs and held tight. He inched over to Prince slowly, not wanting to make sudden movements, until the nagaling was finally within reach. He yanked him over right as one of the hell birds came closer to investigate. Using his tail, he flung the egg right at the bird, where it hit the bird right on the beak before starting to tumble to the ground. With a screech, the bird started down after the egg, and taking on his human form with feet, King jumped off the branch after it, holding prince tighty in his arms.
Prince held tight to his Father as plummeted toward the ground after the hell bird. The nagaling was scared as they fell but he hid his face in his Father’s chest taking in his scent. He was happy to finally be close to him again even if he wasn’t sure if they would survive the fall at least he found his Father.
Catching the egg in one it's talons, the bird slowed its descent, flapping its wing when something slammed into it from above. It paniced for a moment, losing the egg once again. It took only a moment to make sure it wasnt being attacked before racing down after the egg once again.
He kept his arm around Prince the entire time, and nearly rolled off of the bird with the resulting landing. It wasnt as soft as he'd hope it been, but he was alive at least. He turned onto his side and grabbed feathers with his free hand, and looked at the boy in his arms. "How are you doing?" He asked this casually enough.
Though the bird tried to kill him on the way over, but eventually he was dropped off, landing roughly on the side of the nest, which he realized must have been hundreds of feet in the air. He pulled himself up, starting to scan over for Prince when his tail brushed against an Egg, and he cautiously looked behind him. The chicks were very much active, and it seemed to be almost feeding time.
"Prince." He said softly, almost a whisper as he looked back over to the nagaling. "Stay very still. I’ll be over for you shortly, and when I grab you, hold fast."
"Our descent will not be a peaceful one."
"Father!! Be careful." Prince looked up to the circling birds with fear. He did as he was told. He also saw the state King was in which terrified the nagaling more than anything. He’d never seen his strong Father hurt so badly. This rescue was not working out the way the nagaling had planned.

"...Oh..." she said going quiet for a moment. "...Well, is there any way to reverse the effects of your spell?"
"Well, I've rid myself of the demon who had my body but what he's changed my body into, remains. I might have to live this way forever." He said with a sigh.
Neither heaven nor hell, nor all the creatures that lived in the space inbetween could ever come up with the words to fit every situation. This would be one of those situations.
The hell bird, or hell birds, rather, traveled in groups, King remembered that much. He drew his attention to a shadow as it passed over him, then dove straight for the foolish bunny servant who had followed the foolish snake prince right into hell.
The demon beat the bird there, and threw his tail out across the sharp talons of the demon bird, which did not like it’s meal being interrupted like this.
There was a short scuffle of short, where talons and beak scratched and pecked to get out of the tangle of the snake’s tail (and to find where his meal had run off to). The bird made a screeching noise, starting to draw attention to the others still flying about, looking for food.
“Fly you dumb beast…!" King said sharply, knowing if the rest of the flock landed now, he’d be the bird food instead. He grabbed one sharp talon, and pushed it over his tail until it gripped it firmly. It was almost laughable to king how badly he must have been at this moment. The talons scratched him deep, digging in to keep hold, and he hardly felt the pain. Instead, he took a small breath as the demon bird, sastified that it had a catch, took back off into the sky.
The hell birds flew high to their nest. Prince had been dropped in area between the nest with other corpses and food they were storing. The hell birds were waiting for their young to hatch before they would devour the feast and then regurgitate it for their young. The nagaling hit the rocks hard on the way down and was left whimpering in the pile of dead things. He coiled up on himself and waited to be bird food.

"Really? ...Well, if you don't mind my asking, how did you happen to become a snake?"
"I let envy make a fool of me, and I tried to use my magic to make a realistic costume. What happened instead, was an apperance of a demon who held my body hostage for several months."
Say, what do snake people like to eat?
"Must we continue this conversation? I know snakes have mice or birds or small animals, but I do not know what snake people eat, and I'd rather not know. I became this way of unnatural means, I wasn't born like this."
With his trusted bunny slave at his side the nagaling is determined to find his Father. The scale shines brighter and he is sure that his Father is close by soon he will be triumphant in his quest.
He raced along the dead trees, and catches sight of him not too far away. This prompts him to get his scales into gear as he shot for the nagaling now in his sights.
The scale was shining brighter and brighter as King got closer. Prince looked around and waved to his Father when he finally spotted him. The nagaling was so relieved. He turned to slither toward King when suddenly a flying hell creature swooped down and snatched up the nagaling, taking him back into the skies.
"FATHER!!!" High pitched shrieking can be heard from the nagaling as he’s clutched in the talons of the hell creature.

*Prince has got permission to go to hell from the devil Ludwig. He's hooded and staying in the shadows he takes out the scale. Drawing a picture the stone, the nagaling places the scale in the middle and chants the words from his scroll. The scale shines and points the way to King. The nagaling hurries swiftly to find him.*
His tongue flickered out curiously, for something was out of place here- something familiar and-
How in all the worlds did the boy get here?
The naga darted between deadened trees, searching for Prince.

*stares at him* Are... are you a real snake or is that a costume?
"No..." Arthur looked away. "Its real."
*Prince just shook his head and refused to give up the scale. He slithered quickly to hide under the couch.*
"Prince, please... I wont take the scale from you... But you must reconsider what it would mean for you to bring him back."
*Prince shook his head.* This scale doesn't belong to you. It belongs to my Father!! *He puts it in his mouth and locks his jaw.*
"Prince, you must understand it isnt safe to bring him back. Do you know what he does? What he's done? He hurts everyone in his way to get what he wants. While I'm not sure what feelings he has for you or Art, he does not care for anyone else. I've been a prisoner in my own body for 13 months. I know him better than you think you do."

*Prince narrowed his little eyes.* This are my sscrollss. The devil gave them to me. They are not yourss to read. *He holds on tight to the scale.*
"If that is so, then you give me the scale because it is not yours to have."
King don't do hell drama!!
"I sure as hell dont."
*Prince covered his scrolls with a blanket and laid on them.* Nothing!!
"Now now let me see. You had something with you and I need to see it."
