Summary: Dallas invites you to a party. When you get there, you're greeted with a not so pleasant surprise.
Tw: mentions of drinking, cheating, you slap Dallas in the face, angst, no comfort, open ending????
You walked into the bar, not expecting much. All Dallas told you was to be at some party around seven. Lousy douche couldn't even be bothered to drive his own girlfriend, you thought as yuh opened the door.
The room was loud. The kind of loudness that blocked out any thoughts from your head. That's usually the norm for a party, so you weren't too surprised.
You stepped through tons of people, escaping the crowd to sit down on a stool at the bar, leaning back against it and scanning the floor for Dallas. You assumed he was already here.
After a while you got bored of sitting and doing nothing. You grabbed a shot of something left unattended at the bar and threw your head back as you drank it in one big sip.
You slid off the stool and walked around, looking every which way for that familiar blonde, shaggy hair that Dallas refused to cut for some stupid reason. He thinks it makes him look 'tuff'. You think it makes him look homeless.
You finally saw him, and you smiled, walking up to him, ready to wrap your arms around him, kiss him, tell him about your day. Those thoughts died out when you saw a girl standing next to him. And he was grinning like he didn't have a girlfriend.
You wanted to keep it cool at first, taking a deep breath and continuing to walk. But then she grabbed his collar and pressed her lipstick smeared against his.
You froze up like a deer in headlights. You wanted to scream at him. You almost did, but you couldn't with the lump cemented in your throat.
You quickly looked away and stormed off, going straight for the exit as you tried your best not to cry. He must've seen you because as soon as you were outside he called out for you.
You looked behind you with a tearful glare. "What?" You snapped.
He shrunk back slightly but walked up to you.
"Baby, I'm sorry, I didn't... She kissed me!" He protested desperately, wiping the stains from his lips with his jacket's sleeve.
You couldn't even think of something smart to say, you were just trying not to bawl. You rolled your eyes and began to walk off. Dallas grabbed your wrist and stopped you. "Baby, waitโ"
You spun around and gave his cheek a hard smack. It was a total accident, just a reflex. But you couldn't lie... It felt satisfying. You quickly regretted it when you saw his face, his jaw slack and his eyes wide with shock.
He let go of your wrist, his hand going to his sore cheek. He looked over at you, shock and something akin to confusion playing across his features.
"What the fuck!?" He scolded with furrowed brows.
You stood your ground, standing a little straighter and puffing out your chest. "Don't fucking touch me," you spat, "not after what you pulled in there!" You shouted as you pointed at the bar.
"Baby, it was an accident!" He said exasperatedly, as if you were the one kissing random chicks at parties.
That made you mad. The way he acted as if he had done nothing wrong.
"Yeah? Well... Accident this, dickhead!" You said as you raised your fist and flipped him off.
He rolled his eyes and pushed your hand down to your side. "Baby... Dollface, c'mon. Mistakes happen."
"You make mistakes on your math homework, Dallas. What that was wasn't a mistake. It was cheating!"
Dallas ran a hand over his face. "Oh, come on!" He sighed. "I was drunk! Still am! You need proof? I'll try to walk in a straight line, prove how wasted I am."
"I don't want that!" You shouted. "I want you to act like I'm your girlfriend!"
"Well... Are you?" He asked. He wanted to know if that meant anything. If kissing another girl meant it was over for you.
You paused, and thought. A frown painted your face as you looked back up at him. "I don't know."
You wanted to say yes, that you still loved him and you two were still together. But your brain was telling you to hit him with your car.
"I don't know..." You admitted, your words a soft murmur. You didn't wanna look back up at him, keeping your eyes glued to the asphalt as you turned to walk away.
Dallas didn't stop you this time. Just watched.
