Happy Pride Month! (Flash Comp)
Join the Snapeshifters' Snape-centric Discord server for this month's Snapesignment. We're celebrates two things: songs that inspire us and LGBTQIA+ representation.
For this challenge, your work should: (a) be inspired by a song (lyrics are optional - vibes, themes, or mood are totally fine), and (b) include an LGBTQIA+ story element.
Prompts will be either:
🎵 a song-related element (e.g. “a song that mentions a mailman” or “a song that mentions alcohol”)
🏳️🌈 an LGBTQIA+ story element (e.g. “coming out,” “platonic life partner,” “Fire Island”).
There will be 20 prompts total and a maximum word count of 2407. Snape does not have to appear in your work.

a song that is flat out dirty, all about sex
a song about a place that no longer exists
a song in another language
a song that alludes to a feudal title (i.e. king, queen, prince, etc.)
a song with weather elements
a song from an animated children's film
a story about a secret crush
a story about being in love with someone who likes you but doesn't share a compatible orientation
a story where patronuses are affected by whether or not someone has accepted their orientation
a story where the MC runs into another closeted person at a queer event/space
a story about an underground safe haven for lgbtqia+ folk
a story about a lavender marriage (which can be cool, too)
a story about a love letter
a story about buying gender-affirming clothes for the first time
a story about having to explain lgbtqia+ term(s) to an (older) relative and they thought it was something completely different
a story about having a mentor/role model
