IT LIIVES
And like a phoenix rising from the pile of unwritten reviews and long procrastinated projects this blog slowly drags itself lazily into the torrent of madness that is tumblr. Did you miss me?! Yea. Me neither. I have news! Firstly, on my pilgrimage away from my keyboard I have discovered many wonderful and mysterious things. Stories untold, animation unseen, characters unloved by the majority of the western world. I say west because about 95% of this stuff is anime. NO WAIT! DONT LEAVE! THIS IS IMPORTANT! I'm not talking about whatever you might think you know to be anime. Your Bleach, One Piece, Naruto, or whatever other really super famous animated fighting show with 99999 episodes and no end in sight, with more characters having been killed off and then revived than actually introduced. (Those can be good too, but not in the same way) These gems are perhaps little shows or things that might pass you by with endings or themes that are not present or explored in most other mediums. The reasons for this are varied and complex, depending on which instance we look at. One thing they do have in common however is that they present what I believe to be a valuable and different perspective on problems or observations that we may never otherwise experience if we were to stay with what we were comfortable with. In other words. These stories, and the ideas they carry within them, are enriching. So, with your permission and a little bit of trust I'd like to take you on a little journey to the east to hopefully broaden your horizons or at the very least, get a good discussion going.
