I’ve recently been craving some really good SesRin fanfiction and I’d love to hear your recommendations!

The biggest thing I’m looking for is that Sesshomaru stays true to his character. I love when he’s written as quiet, reserved, and emotionally subtle instead of acting completely out of character. I’d love for Rin to feel like herself too.

I’m open to canon, post-canon, or pretty much any AU except modern settings (they just aren’t really my thing).

I especially love:

• Slow burn

• Well-developed relationships

• Strong writing

• Stories with a lot of emotional depth

I’d be thrilled to find some longer fics that I can really get invested in, but if there’s a one-shot you think is an absolute must-read, I’d love that too.

Song of the West by ophelly - All human, no demon historical AU. It's incomplete, but has 40 chapters and is an excellent slow burn.

The Abduction by Red Tea Cup - Smut heavy from the jump, but is still a slow burn with an emotional throughline throughout.

Six Strokes in Violet by Red Tea Cup - Soulmark AU.

in case you don't live forever by grayintogreen - Rin gets to be the one doing the saving.

Knots by sadladybug - Only three chapters; still a must read.

What's Left Unsaid by DarkPhoenixsQuill - Victorian era, arranged marriage AU.
