Grow so remarkably that people have to get to know you all over again.
in 2021 i wish you:
• good health
• a positive mindset
• success in abundance
• healthy relationships
• meaningful connection
• angels who guide you
• strength over depression
• peace in your body
• power before surrender
• discernment for good friends
honestly the amount of hate in some people is so alarming like………aren’t u tired
Three things that are simultaneously true:
- everyone has done something bad at some point
- people can change their behavior for the better
- the people that have been mistreated might still not want anything to do with that person ever again
listen to yourself and watch your language. instead of saying “sorry for ranting”, say “thank you for listening to me”. instead of saying “sorry that i am overemotional”, say “thank you for trying to understand something difficult”. instead of saying “sorry if i am a burden”, say “thank you for the time and energy you invest in our friendship”. good things will come when you realize you are not an apology.
now that we’re here and it’s 4am here’s some paintings that make me go absolutely bonkers
In The Kitchen by Helena Janecic, Untitled by Daniel Gerhartz, Compassion by Daniel Gergartz, L’abandon (Les deux amies) by Henri de Tolouse-Lautrec
the most breathtaking loves are the ones you’re not looking for, the ones that find you when you’re about to give up on love all together. those are the ones that remind you to believe in good things and good people. and i am more thankful for those than i can say.
why don’t you plant some lavender and when it blooms you can squeeze a leaf or two between your fingers and the smell will calm you down. how about you do that. bitch
Recently, I’ve learned not to interrupt when people tell me what they’re going through. If we’re in person, I wait until they’re finished talking. If we’re texting, I don’t start typing until they stop. I don’t rush to compare my experience to theirs, even if they’re similar. I don’t offer unsolicited advice. I’m practicing listening to understand, not to respond. Sometimes people just need someone to listen. Even if your intentions are good, give them that time and space.
Yesterday at work this lady was buying a leaf plate and when I told her I thought it was cute she said “Yeah, it’s perfect for my treehouse!”. I was like “oh, do you have kids?” and she said “yeah, I have kids, they just aren’t allowed in my treehouse” and honestly same
having fat on your tummy is good, actually. not just normal, not just natural, its good. sick to death of flat stomachs being seen as the universal ideal when its not even achievable or healthy for most people. literally if your tummy sticks out thats a good thing.
fatphobes i will block you without hesitation so dont even try interacting
plants insects and animals speak to you you just don’t know how to listen
humans are arrogant and expect everything around them to learn THEIR language. the truth is that the earth and its creatures speak in energy. they have communicated this way long before we were here and they will continue to long after we’re gone. the energy in these messages is palpable when you open yourself up to it. the most important things can be said without any words
i honestly believe human beings are not meant to live like this. we are meant to live in loving communities and be around nature every day and grow our own food and create art and not work day and night until we die. this longing for another life is not human nature, it’s a symptom of modern society.
