Literally the only thing different about sniccals and in particular the anguine au is severus now has an annoying goblin following him around. Thats it, that's the only difference. His life bites and now he has a goblin man making aimless commentary about it

In my head, murdoc does this thing where he insists the mauraders are particularly ugly and the only reason they wouldnt let severus and him join their club was because they werent ugly enough, and it drives sirius in particular batshit crazy but like... theres nothing they can do about it. Theyre already kicking their asses, theyve got no cards left. They may try and break murdocs spirit, but his mouth will keep running long after that, and they all know it

Severus is highkey afraid it will drive them to do something worse to them but he absolutely finds it the funniest shit. All of their ragging on their looks and murdoc turns around and says "no you!" and they can't do anything about it. Its the dumbest pettiest riskiest shit and severus hates it but he also kinda loves it

Its clearly not fair odds for sev even with having one (1) friend privy to the bullying, but murdocs the type of guy who figures if hes gonna get his ass kicked, hes gonna get the last word in, and i think severus would find something both grating and comforting in that

Nothing about that isnt funny. Snape gets bullied constatly and his life is just as terrible as its always been but at least now he has a mean annoying goblin boy with a loud mouth and no impulse control to keep him company
