The girl looks determined despite Lacie's warnings. "I can do it! I'm a big girl now!" And thus Lily begins to climb the tree, softly wincing as the bark of the tree digs into her little palms. She hears Bandersnatch barking, warning her to come down, but she's still attempting the climb.

She makes it up onto a branch where she can sit without fear, and she smiles. "See, big sis Lacie? I did it all by myself!" Never mind that her hands are bleeding a little, she's fine!
