@snowhite66
Modern au Griffguts again... I decided to draw the moment when Guts emerges victorious from the ring, Griffith is his main support and the most attentive spectator.....
The drawing is a bit untidy, since I rarely draw on the computer and I am not particularly skilled🫣😅😅😅
It's finally updated up to 2023....

The Second Iconic Vkei Look of the Week Is...
Imai Hisashi (BUCK-TICK) in the 2021 Show After Dark concert!
Look at this. It's so iconic that it's what his Taeyang doll is wearing. It's the culmination of all of Imai's various... interesting fashion choices that he has made over his entire musical career. The most obvious visual motif, is, obviously, that of a clown, with the black and white patterns and wide pants bringing to mind a pierrot, while the occasional splashes of red are more harlequin-esque, and the frilled collar being characteristic of both. While the upper half of the outfit is comparatively more straight-laced (though if you look closely, his sleeves are mismatched, with his left sleeve being a peasant sleeve while his right one is more kimono-eque), it's the bottom half of the outfit that really steals the show, with all its ruffles and patterns. It should be noted, however, that there is a unity in the chaos, with the repetition of only four colors (black and white, mainly, with occasional splashes of red and gold) and repeating patterns keeping the whole thing from becoming too overwhelming. Given how much Imai likes to bounce around on stage, I can't help but wonder if all the ruffles were chosen to accentuate that fact, as they'd certainly go flying with every leg movement.
Or, perhaps not, as he seems to be uncharacteristically still in the Show After Dark clips I've seen, and landing wrong in those platforms could break an ankle. Speaking of said platforms, they work to tie the lower half of this look together, as they accentuate the legs and help cement the "clown" image in the viewer's mind. The chunky rounded toe brings to mind the idea of clown shoes, while the height + the outrageous pants conjures up images of a stilt walker.
His hair, then, is a nice little bow on this look, a shock of highlighter green that draws your eyes to his face, which might risk getting lost amidst his outfit, and which adds a nice little bit of punk flair to the clown aesthetic. (Also stands out from Show After Dark's red circus background in the same way).
tl;dr go clown man go
