I like how you draw noses!!! Have any tips???
OF COURSE, OF COURSE!! į¦(Ć²_Ć³Ė)į¤ (itās actually one of my favorite parts-)
SO! Start with the slope!
this is very basic one Iām choosing to use for this tut, although you are absolutely free to explore other shapes (itās the most fun to so I greatly recommend it! (ā ĖĢ¶ĶĢćĖĢ¶ĶĢ)ą©ź „ā¾ā¾ )
No matter the shape, remember: thereās no such thing as an āuglyā nose. People may try to bully you into drawing the button, anime-ish nose, but thereās sooo much more to work with!
Like this one, for example!
Although our beloved boy was not blessed with such a scrumptious shape, I really like the look of this nose on Laios!
I find the more dynamic shapes more rewarding! Pick whichever best matches the character youāre trying to draw/create!
BUT BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND-
Next is adding the nostrils!
(Although the angle and viewing of your drawing will change how much or how little you can actually see the nostrilsā Iāll be showing this āsideā view with all the noses. Be sure to experiment around with your angles!)
I find that a half circle shape works wonders. (The inner detailing is up to you, I just find the extra detail fun! āŖ(ą¹į“ā”į“ą¹)āŖ )
This shape in particular will work with most, if not all, slopes! As seen here-

And thatād basically be the main portion! From here on out is just extra detail I like to add.
Thickening the lines, defining the shapes, and adding extra lines for blush, definition, or detailing is always a nice touch.
What I tend to do for āblushā is adding a few short lines across the nose- like this!
Gives a flushed effect without feeling too overwhelming, I think.
My best advice is to experiment, look at actual noses and all their different types- or even just go ham with shapes and try it out. (Noses are actually super important to draw- all my traditional drawings start with the nose, it shapes the entire face!)
Think about what you want to portray and have fun with it!
