So @vuelie did what I couldn’t do for years, and convinced Birger to let me make a dragon for Anna. ;3

His name is Leonidas, because that was one of the few historical names Anna remembered, and it has “leo” in it and the dragon resembles a lion. I figured out how he can fit into Birger’s story, so this little guy will appear in there before too long, hehehe. But needless to say, Birger trusts him, and Anna adores him.

Leonidas’s breed is also a Russia roaming one, but more southern than the frost dragons that live in the tundra-like northern coasts. Nicknamed Poz’zver by the Russians—meaning ‘fire beast’—they typically stick to the forests and mountains, and emerge more in the later hours than when the sun is up. Which works in a land where the sun doesn’t come out much, really.

Which also works out for Anna’s dragon, as he certainly knows and enjoys when the Sky is Awake.

P.S. the one on the right is just me playing around with SAI’s settings, and being in awe of how mixing the layers of the art and the screenshot almost made the art real, lol.
