Nymphea was lent back, her wings stretched out at her sides. She absent-mindedly felt her hands along her feathers. Pausing to preen and remove one that was bent, she asked, "Do you ever wish you could go back, Myo?"

"For a long, long time I was so focused on being someone else that I..." Myosotis paused, eyes distant and searching for the words. "I forgot what, no- *who* I was. It took me years after I left to realize that." She shifted uncomfortably from her place next to the girl as she seemed to shrink in on herself a little, "I'm not sure what would happen if I went back."

"Someone *has to* miss you, though, right?" Nymphea blurted out, focusing her bright gaze on Myo.

"I... I'm happy with who I am now. Can we-"

She interrupted, "What about your mom and dad? They have to care! People always cared about me!"

"Nymphea, I'm not sure what to tell you. I would..." Myo's vision went slightly blurry. She rapidly blinked, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "I can't explain how wrong you are. I'm sorry. I can't go back."

She desperately looked at Nymphea. Her hands clenched into fists at her sides and her body shook as she bit out:

"I'd *die*, Nymph. I'd die. I can't explain why, maybe someday I'll tell you, but I... I can't. I can't go back there. Ever."

"Okay."

"Okay?"

The other girl had long since paused during Myo's outburst. Now, she laid a hand over her companion's shaking ones and promised, "We won't go back there. Can I ask you one thing, though?"

Myosotis mutely nodded. Nymphea continued, "Can you tell me the name? Of where you're from?"

"Myrta."
