Just reread sherlock holmes's "the yellow face" and god i love this story. Its a nice lowstakes mystery that has a happy ending, that 1. Has a good moral even for our time (yay for interracial marriage!), 2. Has Holmes fail to solve a case because of his one obvious blind spot - positive romantic entanglements, and 3. He trusts Watson enough to ask him to call him out when hes being too overconfident in himself.
