QUINN: Haven't you heard? An IV League graduate wouldn't know the in's and out's of simple finances, like mortgages, and moving fee's. Plus, it doesn't quite fit their Dictator like trope if you're father -- God forbid -- isn't intelligent, let alone /realistic/ in the necessities to get them out of our town.
QUINN: As true as that is, I only take notice of the one's worthy of my affections, Sebastian Smythe.
QUINN: I guess so; maybe I'm getting soft, or rebelling against father's usual absurd thinking is tainting my usual flawless judgment. Plus, I can't exactly pull the charity card when I'm tutoring morons who can just /buy/ their way into most schools. The only thing I plan on taking with me from McKinley is you, and Ms. Sue; that national title won't be taken from me.
SEBASTIAN: Understandable, after all, UPenn /isn't/ one of the top schools in the country or anything. And he definitely didn't get a bachelors /and/ masters degree in financing. If they're going to throw around bull about him not understanding how money works, or how to try to fix the slump they're in, they could at least do a little research into the man to figure out that they have no idea what they're talking about. If he weren't the most fit candidate he wouldn't have won.
SEBASTIAN: And what might one do to win over your affections? Assuming they're worthy.
SEBASTIAN: You're tutoring now? I'm honored to be on that list.
QUINN: Yes, your father's love, and devotion to the Greaser's 'well being', has him winning over the general population of Lima's Correctional's present, and future members; I can only imagine the amount of love you're constantly coming face to face with. [wink emoji] Is this you admitting to having a crush on me, Sebastian?
QUINN: I question why they're simply 'handed' over to any idiot with a measly trust fund, honestly.
QUINN: Will there be scholarships? I mean /get/ it, and I /support/ it, but not all of them deserve an eternity inside of those walls to absolutely nowhere. I mean the few who have a sliver of intelligence, class, and leave their anger issues, not to mention the God awful and /constant/ whining at the door deserve an top notch education, don't you think? But, the images of Hunter getting beat by that animal, Elliott, and their weekly excuses for why it was 'warranted', I'm willing to do anything to make sure I'm in a school I don't have to watch my back, and I at least get a year of an education I deserve. I swear, our AP classes are fit for the mentally retarded at this rate.
SEBASTIAN: They whine as if he's rounding them up and kicking them out and leaving them with nothing. He wants to /pay/ them, probably give them more money than they could dream of ever actually seeing. And half of them whine about living here anyway. If someone were going to pay me to leave a place that I hate, I'd be ecstatic.
SEBASTIAN: This is me saying it is completely understandable for anyone to have a crush on you, Quinn Fabray.
SEBASTIAN: You can't trust them, even those with 'class', because they prove time and again that a Greaser will be a Greaser. The new school is for our safety and protection, the better education is a plus. Maybe McKinley could step up and improve their curriculum, but that's on McKinley.
Quinn: The fantasy where a /few/ grease monkeys is equivalent to them /all/ being worthy of a charitable hello, and some what decent exchange of words. Seeing as I've been getting hounded with stares from a particularly set of greaser girls; I'm inclined to think more then ever they all have big fat lesbian crushes on me, or they're truly are all dangers to my perfect face.
Quinn: A few are even beginning to sound like them. Can you believe Man Hands had the audacity to accuse me of getting /her/ drunk. Like she didn't gravitate to the poorly spiked punch at the Soc Hop, like she does fashion no's.
Quinn: And what exactly do you mean by that?
Sebastian: Are there even a few? I've found approximately none. Then again, I'm probably public enemy number one for most of them since my father's the mayor. But that doesn't matter. Who wouldn't have a crush on a beautiful woman like you? I can't blame them.
Sebastian: Sounds like something she would do. I question whether or not some Socs deserve the title.
Sebastian: You and I both know that my father's right, we need somewhere /safe/ for us. Hunter was attacked at a /school-sanctioned/ event, McKinley is /not/ fit for anyone. Someone just needs to show everyone else how much we need Dalton..
Quinn: Don't forget Socials. I caught Melenie having a fit over the much needed separation of our schools last week. Other then a Greaser, there's nothing worse then a Social with a conscious.
Sebastian: I don't get it, the socials that fail to realize this isn't a bad idea? What fantasy do they live in where we're safe here and this is better?
Sebastian: But don't worry about them, we'll have all the socials on our side soon enough. Maybe even some Greasers.
Sebastian: I don't know about you, but I'm absolutely sick and tired of listening to these greasers whine and I'm not looking forward to listening to them to continue whining through song for this stupid glee assignment.
WHO: Sebastian Smythe
WHERE: McKinley High
WHEN: A casual morning stroll to his locker, at some point within the past week.
WHAT: Sebastian reflects on his father’s new proposal for Dalton Academy, and realizes he needs a plan to win over those on the fence about whether or not it’s a good idea. Spoiler Alert: He thinks it’s a great idea.
Sebastian walked the halls of McKinley with the confirmation in the back of his mind that he wouldn’t be doing this for very much longer. He knew of the backlash to his father’s plan amongst the student body, he knew he had people glaring daggers into his back as he walked down the hall, and he knew that -- thanks to his father -- he was definitely on the top of every Greaser’s shit list. That was the point, that was the problem-- They couldn’t not hate a Soc, especially Sebastian. Maybe there was a point in time where they all could have lived together harmoniously like some grossly cliche dramedy, but they had surpassed that point. This divide had been growing for generations and there was very obviously no fixing it, there was only living with it, dealing with the Greasers who had fallen into the stereotypes they all claimed not to be. Violence, Socs getting to live with the uncertainty of their own safety and having to defend themselves and their property. His father was right, it wasn’t safe at McKinley, not when his best friend could be attacked at a school-sanctioned event.
They could claim innocence all they wanted, but Sebastian knew the truth, that this was always started by the Greasers. Always, from the very beginning, not being able to see past the history, past things that their parents did and believed. He was top of their shit list because of his father, and if that wasn’t proof enough that Greasers couldn’t see past a family name he didn’t know what was. Yes, he supported his father, but he wasn’t the one enacting these laws, or trying to pay the Greasers out. He was just being a loyal son, and a smart person, putting his own safety and the safety of those he cared about first. But he wasn’t going to hide behind his father’s campaign, he wasn’t going to let himself be an easy target or take the blows, he was prepared -- fully -- to fight back. This wasn’t a Soc starting shit with a Greaser, it was a Soc finishing shit. His best friend was attacked, he listened to the bullshit that spewed from Greasers mouths on a daily basis, and he was damn ready for this new school to pass and become a reality. He knew they couldn’t win over the Greasers, they were too far up their own damn asses to realize how this was not only a good idea but a necessary one. They could, however, win over the Socs that were on the fence.
Sebastian had a plan, a plan to prove how much they needed this new school. A plan to convince everyone that Socs and Greasers couldn’t in the past, still can’t, and probably will never be able to co-exist. There was too much history, too much violence that they couldn’t get past. Sebastian was on a mission now, and he wouldn’t stop until his father got the go ahead for Dalton Academy.
Like, how am I supposed to “find x”? Why is it lost? And why is it my job to find it? I don’t want to do this whole Algebra thing, whatever that word means – it just makes my head get all fuzzy and weird.
This weekend was a total bummer and now I have a week of school to follow. If I don’t make it to Friday, it’s because I died of exhaustion. Just a heads up.
I guess you should be warmly welcomed back to school, Evans. How was your little break? Considering what you were caught with, I can only assume you found a way to pass the time.
Definitely not feeling today. I’m so behind on schoolwork already and I pretty much have no idea what’s going on. Here’s to being a senior; and probably failing out before the first month is through.
It’s not like it would be much of a surprise for a Greaser to fail out so quickly. Actually, it’s impressive you’ve made it to senior year. Congrats on that, I guess.
Hunter: Well, you've got a point. It'll definitely be a lot of fun to show them all up. Aweeee, look how cute you are denying that you're all adorable when you try to boss me around.
Hunter: Yes, we do, fuckface.
Sebastian: Shut the fuck up, Clarington. I'm coming over this weekend, we can figure out what we're going to do.
Hunter: Like that's hard, Bas. Awe, look how cute you are when you try to get bossy with me.
Hunter: I am, shut up. Tell me how great we both know I am.
Sebastian: Of course it's not hard, but it'll be fun to do no matter how easy. Can't you just imagine their faces at seeing how much better we are than they could even dream? I'm not cute.
QUINN: Luckily it's usually never not on when I'm around you. He'd have to have brain cells, and the maturity to admit he doesn't know it all, and he has a lot of learning to do.
QUINN: Well, well, who knew /the/ Sebastian Smythe was so.../bad/. :p That was one for the books, but sorry to say Smythe, I might -- as in I will -- be knocking you down a peg for the best greaser ploy this year, with the one I slowly but surely have going.
SEBASTIAN: Lucky indeed. I'd just love to see that smug smile knocked off his face. I never thought anyone would annoy me more than Rachel Berry, but I have been proven wrong.
SEBASTIAN: Are you going to go all 'Preacher's Daughter' stereotype, Quinn Fabray? Are you into bad boys? Oh will you? I'm anxious to see what you've got planned, can I have a preview?
Every? Once. I did it once. And, since Quinn was so ‘adamant’ about protecting you guys (even though her train of thought went way off its choo-choo tracks), I did say sorry. Immediately, actually, to the person it mattered to. And, if you have to know, he didn’t care, nor was he offended. So, if you wanna try and use that against me, try a little harder.
You tend to ‘knock’ my physical appearance pretty often. Which I don’t care about normally, but! Saying things like ‘you look and sound like a girl’? Offensive. Insanely so. Not because I’m offended at the thought of being a girl, but because the thought that a gay man who shows any traits that aren’t ‘manly’ are automatically equivalent to that of a female. Which I’m very much not. And to also imply that I salivate over you and someone else getting it on every night is offensive, too – a gay man who wants to fuck everyone around him? That shit got old in the 80′s. Or, do you not care enough to do basic research on history that involves who you are, directly?
Plus! This brings me back around full circle to the fact that you’ve never said anything like that to either Blaine, or Hunter. Two other men who identify as some form of queer. But, if you had, you’d probably feel remorseful. While, once again, my personal comfort levels are being ignored, due to the fact that I’m ‘not on your side’.
But, please. Keep telling me how I feel. I’m sure you know better than I do.
Seeing as the comment still involved me, I think I still have a right to dislike and even be offended by you throwing my sex life into whatever petty argument you were having with someone else. But whatever, Hummel.
If it’s a comfort, I’d still think you sound and look like a woman if you were straight. Yet, it’s okay for you to assume that two queer men that are really good friends are obviously sleeping together? Okay, Kurt. Whatever you say.
Because none of it applies to Hunter or Blaine, Hummel. And even if it did, how do you know I’ve never said anything to them? Are you stalking all my private conversations now? Do you really know my life better than I do? Your personal comfort levels are ignored because you make me want to stab myself in the eye every time you open your mouth and try to sound intelligent and knowledgable- and I’m not saying you’re ignorant because you’re gay, you’re just ignorant.
And you seem to know more about my life and my experiences than I do. Looks like we both know more abut the other than we thought, huh?
QUINN: You never fail to make me smile, you know that? To see what's it's like to an attractive male with friends, family, and a throne not made out trash, with two followers who willing read and believe in his moronic rants? I think so.
QUINN: Have you ever been on the South side to trash it? Drunk or sober?
SEBASTIAN: I'm glad to hear that, because that smile of yours is just another one of my favorite things. Maybe he can learn a thing or two.
SEBASTIAN: Not far, really. I've drunkenly gone with some guys to slash a few tires, but nothing too extreme. I tend to keep the bigger offenses more tightly under wraps, like our dear Dani and Sam's drug situation.
Hunter: You can't see it, but I'm rolling my eyes at you.
Hunter: Again, rolling my eyes at you. And I can read in between the lines and see that you obviously want an excuse to see me /even more/ so hence the reason you want to duet. [SMIRKING EMOJI]
Hunter: I always do. I'm great like that.
Sebastian: I can picture it perfectly.
Sebastian: Again. Please, I just want to show up the rest of that damn club. Even more so. If I just wanted to see you more, I'd see you more. Don't get too excited, Hunt.
You denied it twice before you said anything, so. But, right – ‘course it’s not.
‘[…] I don’t know what the hell you’re reading into but I’m positive it’s not his desire to have any kind of sex with you. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone with that desire around here. I don’t even know who you would appeal to, you look and sound like a girl which is definitely a turn off to any men. And to women you’re probably only good for the GBF stereotype.’ [x]
Tell me how that’s not offensive, and I’ll shut the fuck up.
Shockingly enough, my entire life and mindset does not revolve around this damn website or what occurs on it. I didn’t deny shit, your “subtle” references could have been to literally anything and I didn’t know what you were talking about -- until you were finally done trying to be ‘cryptic’ or whatever you were going for there.
One instance is me always bringing up your sexuality? When you toss Hunter and I sleeping together into seemingly every conversation you have? Which still confuses as to why you bother mentioning it, is supposed to be embarrassing that I might be sleeping with another hot guy? You befuddle me, Hummel. Besides, that was more of a knock at your general appearance and being sexually attractive, not so much your sexuality.
