#The thing I hate about job searching is that it just makes me a more pessimistic person and that's a terrible way to be all the time #I feel like I have to always assume the worst in order to protect myself #because these companies obviously don't give a fuck #It's been a month since my 2nd interview with this one company and I've heard nothing #even to my follow up email almost 2 weeks ago #but at the same time I have to smile and take their shit because I don't have another choice #If I were to scold them for it then I'm the one in the wrong #If they were to get back to me with good news then I'd need to take it because I need benefits which I don't have with my current job #rather than being able to tell them no and lay into them about their lack of communication #At this point I don't even think ghosting candidates is considered unprofessional anymore with how many companies do it #Now it's just standard #Between this and the state of the world I feel like I'm always angry and cynical and sad #like I can't trust anyone ever. And that's awful #I don't want to be like that anymore but I don't know how I could change it #Because if I give a little bit of trust or a little bit of hope to things outside my little bubble it will inevitably backfire #so I don't know what to do #I just don't want to feel helpless anymore

Got an interview scheduled today and no one showed up at all, then when I send a follow up it turns out that the guy was OOO :))))) mfer you scheduled it for today!!

#He better have gotten sick all of a sudden omfg #And HE reached out to ME #I hate looking for a job #Between this and the other job that hasn't gotten back to me in 3 weeks despite me following up #fuck I wish I didn't need benefits so bad so I could crash out on these people for their shitty communication

My friend got me into Dragon's Dogma and I love my wet noodle Arisen. Saddest, most pathetic looking woman who is now tasked with killing a dragon of all things. She's having an awful time

I've also decided that she romanced Madeline because I find Madeline funny but also my Arisen is a sucked who would get swindled by her so easily so of course they have to get involved somehow

#Her name is Fennel!#Also her main pawn is the exact opposite of her #Strong. Confident. Even a little aggressive. A giant of a woman #That's Amaryllis #I haven't learned much about pawns yet #but Amaryllis is definitely Fennel's idea of what a hero is/should be like so that's why they ended up together #Everytime someone tells the Arisen that they don't seem like much it plays so well with Fennel's character #I love it

#tbh I don't think TS is coming out this year #We're halfway through and they're still sitting at 75% on some items with vague completion for others #Color me surprised if they can get it out by December #idk it's dramatic but everytime they send an update email I get irritated just off the notification lol #because atp if it's not a release date announcement I want bring myself to care #the ch1 preview made me lose a lot of faith and these vague updates just frustrate me even more #delete later

Have an interview in an hour and now my laptop decides to do a big ass Windows update 🙃

#I have to complain about it because everytime I complain the completion percent jumps up #It's not the end of the world I have another way of getting on video #it's just that I feel way more comfortable on my laptop. Anything else will throw me off

Really curious about what will be at the SGF showcase. Personally all the stuff I was looking forward to was shown so idk what to anticipate now.

#I'm assuming GTA6 will be present?#I'm hoping anyway. So they can give a solid release date #tbh I'm really sick of hearing people talk about it and having it hanging over the gaming world like a boogeyman #so I'm ready for this thing to finally come out lol #Other than that I'm not sure

My mom and sister are moving to be 15 minutes away from me and while it's cool that I'll have family nearby, I'm somewhat concerned that my mom is going to want to take up a lot of my time and not respect my schedule when it's not something "acceptable"

#Just got off the phone with her and this is twice now that I've told her I'm hanging out with friends and she gets kinda upset #and pulls the 'you'd rather hang out with your friends than with your mom?' thing #Last time she was visiting for a month and I told her I usually hang out with a friend Saturday afternoons #and she got frustrated about it because I was wanting to hang with a friend than with her #when I hadn't seen her in almost a year #Even though I was planning on spending plenty of time with her outside of that one time block #Basically made me feel guilty. So I paused hanging out with my friend that month #And then of course when I told her she tried to walk it back 🙄#Then this time she's moving tomorrow and wanted to grab some stuff from my place #And I told her I'm not free in the evening because I have tabletop so I can try getting it to her before then #and again she pulled the mom card #But I just didn't say anything. bc I'm not going to make my friends reschedule or work around me again #A big reason I moved out was so I could get some space to do my own thing without worrying about others' expectations #and so I could go out and do stuff without my mom getting anxious about it or sad that I wasn't hanging out at home with her #so I'm just worried that some of those problems are going to crop back up now
